CSI Files
Captain
With another week of the sweeps season that they hope to storm through, CBS will be airing another three brand-new CSI episodes over the next four days.
The network'll be hoping to entice everybody aboard tonight with CSI: Miami's "Pirated" at 10:00pm, when the Miami team has reason to suspect that pirates are at work – but rather than scurvy swashbucklers they expect to be dealing with altogether more modern and devious criminals. Directed by Duane Clark ("Legal"; "Lost Son") and written by writers Michael Ostrowski and Steven Maeda, the episode was given the following synopsis by CBS, courtesy of The Futon Critic:

Horatio suspects that a ship was hijacked with some of the crew killed and then dumped overboard. Evidence suggests that other crew members might have escaped on a life raft. Using radar and GPS technology, the CSIs find survivors but their stories don't match. Now, Horatio and the team must learn what really happened out in the ocean as they find themselves investigating the seamy underbelly of Miami’s militias and arms dealers.

"Pirated" will show off the talents of the following guest cast:
[*]Rex Linn as Det. Frank Tripp[*]Malaya Rivera Drew as Lt. Colleen Mendez[*]Paul Dillon as Owen Harrell[*]Philipp Karner as Adam Kalmenson[*]Josh Braaten as Brian Waterton[*]Tony Genaro as Roberto Lopez[*]Will Collyer as Chip Manning[*]Teddy Lane, Jr. as Swat Sergeant[*]Dave Power as Darryl Morgan[*]Wesley Morgan as Wesley Morgan[*]Boti Bliss as Valera[*]Roy Werner as Bart Roberts[*]Brooke Bloom as Cynthia Wells
It might well be asked if there's an in-joke about how many spinoffs the CSI franchise should have at the CBS lot... but either way, the next CSI: New York on Wednesday at 10:00pm is entitled "Three Generations Are Enough". Directed by Alex Zakrzewski, whose previous directorial work includes CSI's fellow procedural drama Cold Cases, the episode was written by executive producer Andrew Lipsitz and was summarised by CBS via the Futon Critic as follows:

Mac examines the mysterious disappearance of a stock brocker while Stella investigates the murder of a woman thrown off the roof of a church. Panic ensues on a New York trading floor when a briefcase is left behind with no owner. The briefcase’s contents are traced back to a stock broker who mysteriously disappeared after investigating another broker’s illegal trades. Meanwhile, Stella investigates the death of a pregnant counselor found next to the church where she worked.

"Three Generations Are Enough" will feature the following guest actors:
[*]Sonya Walger as Jane Parsons[*]Steven Flynn as Luke Sutton[*]Peter O’Meara as Paul Stryzewski[*]Larry Clarke as Father Tim Murphy[*]Sarah Aldrich as Emily Dent[*]Tom Bresnahan as Nick Lawson[*]Jerry Brennan as Security Rover[*]Jeff Campbell as Bomb Squad Lieutenant[*]Nick McCallum as The "Rookie"
Hopefully Thursday's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode at 9:00pm will have nothing to be sorry for, despite bearing the name "Mea Culpa". Penned by executive producer Carol Mendelsohn and co-executive producer Josh Berman, the episode was directed by David Grossman ("Forever", "Speed Kills") and was summarised as below by CBS via the Futon Critic:

After a murder trial is reopened to explore new forensic evidence, Grissom discovers a previously undetected fingerprint on a piece of evidence during his cross-examination. This oversight is an opportunity for new assistant lab director Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann) to put Grissom and his nightshift team under the microscope.

"Mea Culpa" will feature a guest cast with a few very notable names – not least Louise Lombard (Hidalgo), and Nana Visitor, star of long running sci-fi show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
The full guest cast is as follows:
[*]David Berman as David Phillips[*]Aisha Tyler as Mia Dickerson[*]Louise Lombard as Sophia Curtis[*]Nana Visitor as Mrs. Katz[*]Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie[*]Wallace Langham as Hodges[*]Jason Segel as Neil Jansen[*]Erik Jensen as Jeffrey Sinclair[*]Alex Carter as Detective Vartan[*]John DeMita as Jason Garbett[*]Jason London as Keith Garbett[*]Tina Lifford as Judge Witherspoon[*]Bobby Hosea as Rich Rebba[*]Stefan Marks as Max Larson[*]Kenny Morrison as ATF Agent[*]John Lacey as John Bergman/ATF Suit [*]Gerald McCullouch as Bobby Dawson[*]Terry Bozeman as Brad Lewis[*]Palmer Davis as Margaret Finn
