This came to me while IMing RPing with one of my friends.

Calleigh was finishing up with the last bit of work she had to do. Her mind still wasn’t clear from the night before. She had gone out on a blind date with a guy who called himself Jack that she met on the internet. He turned out to be a predator, looking for women he could easily kidnap and take with him.

The two of them decided that they would meet at a small Italian café named Twigs in Star Island at 7:30p.m. Calleigh was excited to actually be going on a date with someone. Deep down, she loved someone else, and it killed her to see how many different women he dated. This was Calleigh’s opportunity to try and put the man she loved so much from her mind.

Calleigh had never really done anything like this before. She wondered if she was making a bad decision by meeting Jack at the café. The daunting possibly of her making a horrible choice plagued her as she tried to decide which dress to wear. Finally she decided to wear a short silky black dress that only came to her mid-thigh with her favorite pair of heels. As she applied her make-up, she tried to be excited for the evening to come, but all of the negative thoughts she had running through her head made in difficult to immerse herself that joyfully excited frame of mind that she at one point could not seem to shake if she tried. As she finished getting ready, she looked over at the clock by her bed which greenly glared 6:50. Calleigh lightly applied perfume, Curves; then grabbed her keys and headed out to her 1967 Shelby Cobra.

The car ride to the café was the hardest part for Calleigh. Her stomach was in knots, and her mind was racing. She was so nervous that she was overcome with shakes, and a sense that she may become sick at any moment. Every time she thought of the decision she was making, she thought about why she was making it, and it became increasingly harder to think about the man she was about to meet.

After driving for about a half hour, Calleigh pulled into the parking lot of Twigs and gave herself one last look over. She checked her finely applied make-up to see any possible flaws, which she didn’t find. She adjusted her golden hair, which was curled. She looked down at the clock on the radio which read 7:18. Finally she got out of her fire red sports car, ran her fingers over her silky dress a few times, grabbed her purse and headed for the entrance.
She walked to the front of the café, and entered the inviting building. Calleigh could feel the romantic atmosphere as soon as she entered the café. Everything was dimly lit. The walls were covered in paintings, and gave the impression that you were sitting in a remote Italian orchard. Jack told Calleigh that she would know which table was theirs as soon as she saw it. Calleigh searched the room for a moment, trying to see a table that was different from all of the others. Finally she noticed a table with a single pink rose with a candle on each side of it. Immediately Calleigh knew this was the table.

As Calleigh walked over to the table, that joyful feeling she had once known returned. The concern she had for not knowing the man she was about to meet had gone away. As she got to the table, she set down her purse, picked the flower up and smelt it. The aroma of roses always put a smile on her face. Calleigh sat down at the table, and awaited the arrival of Jack. She grew increasingly excited as she sat and waited for the mystery man to show up.

Calleigh looked up at the clock, which read 7:28. Her excitement was building as 7:30 grew closer. A group of men in black suits and gelled back greasy hair walked in. Calleigh immediately looked to see if any of them were heading her direction. Calleigh sighed when none of them did. Only a few moments later another man walked into the café. This man stood 6’4 and weighed 200 pounds of muscle and had deep blue eyes and headed for Calleigh’s table. She noticed him headed over and became increasingly nervous. "Is that him?" she asked herself. She didn’t expect someone of this man’s size. Calleigh’s heart began to flutter as he approached the table.

"Calleigh?" the man asked in a deep voice. Calleigh simply nodded her head. "Hi I’m Jack." he said, extending his hand to shake Calleigh’s. Calleigh took his hand and shook it. She felt a spark as soon as the two touched.

"Calleigh you look wonderful." Jack said with a sinister smile on his face. Jack was a very good con man. He adapted well to any situation and he knew exactly how to manipulate a situation or a person to fit his liking. He took Calleigh’s hand, and grazed it with his thumb. He looked deeply into Calleigh’s soft green eyes and smiled.
"Calleigh, this was merely where I wanted to meet you, the real surprise I have waiting at the beach, if you’ll join me?" Jack stood and held out his hand, waiting for Calleigh to accept it. Calleigh really wasn’t sure how good of an idea this was to go to the beach with him. At least here they were among people. Being in a private spot could invite the opportunity for something bad to happen.

Calleigh was falling for Jack’s sinister plan. She took his hand, and allowed him to lead her out of the café after she grabbed her rose and purse. "Alright Jack, I’ll follow you in my car." She said, trying to maintain a certain amount of control of the situation. Jack didn’t care, because he still had her where he wanted her.

Calleigh got into her car, waited for Jack to get into his black Mustang and as he pulled away, she followed. To a certain extent, Calleigh had no idea what was going on. Jack led her to the beach, where he had a special area set aside. He pulled up to the beach, checked himself on more time and got out to evoke his horrible plan. Calleigh got out, took Jack’s hand and he led her to a small cliff nearby.

"So Calleigh, enjoying the view?" Jack asked politely. Calleigh’s heart melted each time she heard him speak. She was definitely falling for this man she had only just met.
"Of course Jack. This is really beautiful." Calleigh said longingly. Jack then drew Calleigh in close to him, and kissed her tenderly. Calleigh immediately pushed away, not knowing who this man was. "What are you doing Jack?" Calleigh said, backing away from the man she was falling for.

"Calleigh, I’m just doing what we both want." Jack said with that same sinister grin on his face, inching closer to Calleigh.

Jack then reached out and grabbed Calleigh by the hair, trying to get her to kiss him. Calleigh’s intense CSI instincts kicked in immediately. She kicked Jack in the knee, and then picked up a rock and hit him with it. Jack fell to the ground, and Calleigh ran to her car. She fumbled with her keys, finally getting her car started and pulled away quickly. Tear began to stream down Calleigh’s face, as she sped away for her life. She hadn’t realized that her CSI badge fell out of her purse in the struggle. Calleigh couldn’t sleep at all that night, worrying that Jack may come back to finish what he attempted earlier. She toyed with the idea of calling Eric, but she knew it wouldn’t be a good idea. She tossed and turned until day broke and she got up to go to work.

Calleigh was trying to finish up the last of her work, but she wasn’t doing a very good job. She finally ran into Eric near the end of her day. She was a zombie due to lack of sleep. The only words she could muster were "Hey Eric." Eric knew something was wrong, but he didn’t bother asking her about it, because he figured she wouldn’t talk about whatever it was. As was usually the case. She went back to the lab, and passed Tim Speedle.

"Later Cal," Tim said as he walked towards the door. Calleigh simply waved, as Speedle and the rest of the shift’s workers left. All but one, Eric. Calleigh felt like she could go to sleep right then and there, but every time she closed her eyes, she saw Jack’s face.

Calleigh then realized she left a file in her car, so she went out to get it. Little did she know that, Jack had found where she worked, and was stalking his prey to finish the horrible deeds he had begun. Eric finally mustered enough courage to ask Calleigh what was wrong, but as he approached the lab, he saw Calleigh walking out the door. He figured she was leaving for the day, so he went back to his work. Calleigh went out to her Cobra and grabbed the file she needed. She looked around for a moment, getting that eerie feeling that someone was watching her. Jack noticed her come out and went to make his move.

Got the idea while RPing with one of my friends.

Jack casually walked towards the unsuspecting Calleigh. The one time that she actually let her guard down for a minute, was the time that Jack would come to call. She left her firearm in the lab, not thinking that she would need it. Jack noticed this, and gave a sinister smile. Looking down at her case file, she was completely oblivious to the world around her. This gave Jack the perfect opportunity to get close to her without letting her know he was coming.
Calleigh continued to read the file in her hands, knowing that she was only steps away from solving the murder of a woman in the Miami area that had gone missing after reportedly going out for a date. It consumed her entire focus, because she knew in the back of her mind that she may have almost suffered the same fate as the girl, by the same man.
When she heard footsteps, Calleigh finally looked up from the daze she was in. Everyone from her shift had gone home, so she was curious who would be coming to the lab at this time. Calleigh’s jaw hit the floor when she locked eyes with the man that had attempted to take advantage of her just the night before. Calleigh’s heart and mind raced as she thought about the possible reasons why he could have been there. Coming to apologize didn’t rank on her list. Her pace quicken as she tried to get inside, before he could get to her, but she found that he was to fast. Soon Calleigh was in a dead run for the front door of the building. Her legs carried her as fast as they could, as she tried to get away from a man that, in all right, scared her to death.
Calleigh, got to the door, and it was locked, due to cleaning. Instead of trying to unlock the door with her keys, Calleigh ran to the other entrance, knowing that it was always open. Jack however, was still hot on her tail. Calleigh ran inside, slamming the door behind her, taking refuge behind a corner. Her heart was racing out of her chest. She tried to think a possible way she could get away from this man, but she couldn’t think of anything. Everyone from her shift went home only a half hour ago, and the next shift didn’t come in for another half hour.
Calleigh’s stream of consciousness was broken by the sound of Jack bursting through the doors, and coming her way. "Calleigh, I’m not going to hurt you….I just wanna have a little fun." He said as he laughed manically. Calleigh ran down the hall way to her right, trying to find some sort of light in one of the rooms, showing that there would be someone to help. She reached for her firearm, but she realized that she left it in the lab, and there was no way she could get to it, without passing him. Just as it seemed as if there was no hope, she remembered that Eric was going to stay late tonight to help finish the murder case.
Just then Calleigh looked back and saw Jack take the corner and head down the hallway that she was in. She quickened her pace, and took the corner, heading for the stairs. She could hear Jack laughing in the background, and it made Calleigh get even more frightened than she was. However, her CSI instincts took over, and she continued to try to get to Eric, before Jack got to her.
When she got to the stairs, she tried to force the doors open, but they were locked for maintenance. She tried with all of her might to break the lock, but it was no use. It wouldn’t budge. Jack heard this and began running towards her, knowing that she was trapped for a moment. Calleigh heard Jack’s increase in speed towards her, and frantically ran towards her last chance at escape, the elevator. "Come on Calleigh, I just wanna have some fun!" Jack yelled as he heard her run away.
Calleigh ran down the halls that seemed to go on forever. This was like a scene from a horror movie, but it was real and happening. She got to the elevator and frantically hit the up arrow repeatedly, thinking it would make it move faster. "Come on, please, for the love of God hurry." Calleigh cried out loud. She hated being in a game of beat the clock against Jack. She feared for her life, and it was almost as if Jack could smell it. This was a sick and twisted game of cat and mouse to him and in his mind there was no way he could lose.
The bell on the elevator rang as the doors opened. It was as if the doors of Heaven opened for her. Jack heard this and ran with all of his might to make it before the elevator closed. Calleigh jumped in the elevator and hit the up close button repeatedly, trying to get away safely. She knew if she could get upstairs, she’d be able to find Eric and apprehend Jack. The doors began to close slowly, and Calleigh breathed a breath of relief, leaning back on the wall of the elevator to catch her breath.
Just when she thought she was completely safe, her heart sank down to her shoes when she saw a tan arm squeeze in between the closing doors, forcing them to reopen. Tears began to fall from Calleigh’s broken green eyes. She knew that she lost the game. Jack forced his way into the elevator, laughing at his victory. "Now Calleigh, I told you not to run." He said in a cocky manner.
Calleigh quivered in the corner, and tried to reason with him. "Please Jack, please don’t do this. They’ll know something happened to me if you do anything. I’m a CSI for God’s sake. You don’t think they’ll notice?"
Jack simply laughed. "Like they knew about the girl that just went missing not long ago" cockily admitting to the crime he had committed. The doors then shut, trapping Calleigh with a man that had nothing but sinister thoughts in mind. Calleigh then noticed that the elevator was going up, and realized that they were heading right for Eric. She still had one last chance to be free from this.
Eric had no idea what was going on downstairs. He toiled away at his work, with Calleigh still on his mind. Her mood and demeanor bothered him, and he wanted find out why she was acting so weird. Eventually it got to him to the point that he had to give her a call and see if she was okay. So he stopped working on the prints for the case, and headed for the break room to use the only phone upstairs.
As Eric came out of the lab, heading for the break room, the elevator dinged, signaling that someone was in it. He assumed it was just maintenance, so he looked down at the report that was in his hand. As Calleigh heard the elevator ding, she prayed that when those doors opened, Eric would be somewhere close.
As the doors opened, Jack laughed and told her "Now, we’re going to go back downstairs, and out the front door quietly." While Jack was instructing her, Calleigh peered out of the elevator to see Eric. When she saw him heading down the hallway, she knew that now was her only opportunity to make her move. Calleigh quickly stomped on Jack’s foot with her six inch heel, and then elbowed him in the crotch, which diverted his attention, so she could get out. She then made her break for it.
"You…" Jack muttered angrily as her made her move. Jack was going weary of chasing Calleigh, so he decided to just end the game they had been playing.
Calleigh ran towards Eric. "ERIC HELP!!" Calleigh shouted from down the hallway. Eric’s eyes immediately darted from the report to Calleigh. As Calleigh ran towards Eric with all she had, Eric started towards Calleigh, wondering what was going on, and then noticed the man in the elevator. "He’s…" Before Calleigh could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by the cocking of a gun, and a resounding "BANG!"

You'll have to see in Chapter 3, which will be coming out when I get home from California.
