Actually, he's a cop. He was featured in the final episode of Alton Brown's mini-series, "Feasting On Asphalt." He was in about twenty minutes of the final episode because he was such an engaging personality and a lot of fun.
I really thought he had a great personality and knowledge of food, and he and Mr. Brown played well off each other. It'll be interesting to see how he does solo.
I know he's a dectective, that's what turned me on to the show.. all the fingerprints, etc..
my thought was.. hey it's food tv meets CSI
and I love Alton Brown too
