The season five finale of CSI: New York, "Pay Up", leaves the fate of one team member up in the air.
As CSI Files previously reported, a member of the New York team will die within the first 10 minutes of the finale. However, another character will be in danger at the end of the episode. "There's talk that we're losing a character," Eddie Cahill (Don Flack) told CBS. "I don't know who it is. None of us know who it is, which lends itself to a bit of anxiety."
"If you look at all our cliffhangers, we kind of always have somebody in jeopardy, but you know who that person is at the end of the year," Melina Kanakaredes (Stella Bonasera) explained, but this season will be different. Anna Belknap (Lindsay Monroe) revealed, "It'll be a cliffhanger for all of us. We're all wandering around, wondering who it's going to be."
"I don't know who it's gonna be, and I don't know why exactly they're doing that," admitted Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer). "We're all just knocking on wood that we're still here." Co-star Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) said, "I certainly don't want to get killed off." AJ Buckley (Adam Ross) shared that he has "lost some sleep" over the mystery.
"The way it's being set up right now is, for me it's a little bit beyond just curious about what's gonna happen," Cahill continued. "It may work itself out in a way that could be, for my money, kind of upsetting on a personal level." Kanakaredes offered a few details about the cliffhanger: "The only thing you can be certain of is that we are all in a bar, kind of toasting the person who does pass away at the beginning of the episode, and pretty much it could be any one of us."
The original video is courtesy of CBS and can be watched below.
