**This RPG has followed all protocol and has been approved by sissi59100, for all those who will jump to say we can't start our own rp ;)** (exactly i approved it :D)

Synopsis: It all started with a silly dance in the bar with the gang that almost ended in a kiss, but now Nick Stokes and Catherine Willows are hooked, but neither knows that the other is feeling just the way they are; confused, flustered, and head over heels. Working together on, to their original knowledge, a horrible robbery gone wrong, ending in the raping and brutal murder of a mother and her two girls hits them both like a deer caught in the headlights. Now, just throw in the mix Nick trying to get his mind off Cath and starting to go out with Sara, which ups Catherine's angst, just sends everything to another dimension. What will surface from a seemingly normal case, a relationship? A misunderstanding? Heartache? Maybe, possibly, the fury of love?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The black velcro band watch on my wrist read 1:15 in the morning, and I looked back up to everybody around me. Ruffling my hair, I turn back to reality as I tear away from her face, Catherine's face. For years, I can't deny it anymore, I've been attached, something burrowing deeper and depper into my heart. Suddenly, a slower, yet jumpy country song comes on the stereo. I can't help but smile broadly as I witness Cath stare longingly out at the dance floor, eyes sparkling in the dimmed light. Spontaneously, my own conscience not even comprehending this, I leap up and grab Catherine's elbow, her blonde hair flying behind her as I pull her towards the dance floor. "Come on, I know you wanna dance!"

^ Cool, 1st person pov!

Sara jumped awake with a start. Her cell phone was ringing - again. She sighed as she reached for her bag. Fumbling with the contents, she got fed up and spilled the remaining items on the table infront of her, wiping a small bit of drool from the corner of her mouth and shuddering. More than anything, Sara hated saliva. No, for her, it wasn't decomp, or blood, or mucus. It was spit. Eww.

Sara grabbed her phone, checking the call display. Catherine Willows. She sighed again and flipped open her cell.

"Sidle," she answered with a yawn.

She let out a belted laugh as he pulled her to the dance floor. “Nick, it’s been a long time since I’ve country danced…so you better take the lead!” She looked up at him as she pushed a curl from her face and shot him a mischievous grin. She always thought it felt good to get out on the dance floor, and just let loose. It gave her the encompassing desire of feeling free and feral, yet she was still in control. So when Nick pulled her on the dance floor she felt ecstatic and carefree, and planned on enjoying every moment of it. "Nice," Catherine said as she let out a surprised smile as he twirled her on the dance floor.

Nick let a wide smile loose. "I try, but really Cath, look, it's basically a waltz crossed with a box step." Moving one hand down to her waist, he gently guided her further, trying to move her around to avoid being stepped on as they swayed to the lyrics.

In a book- in a box- in the closet
In a line- in a song I once heard
In a moment on a front porch late one june
In a breath inside a whisper beneath the mooon

There it was at the tip of my fingers
There it was on the tip of my tounge
There you were and I had never been that far
There it was the whole world wrapped inside my arms
And I let it all slip away

What do I do now that you're gone
No back up plan no second chance
And no one else to blame
All I can hear in the silence that remains
Are the words I couldnt say

Theres a rain that will never stop fallin
There a wall that I tried to take down
What I should have said just wouldnt pass my lips
So I held back and now we've come to this
And it too late now

What do I do now that your gone
No back up plan no second chance
And no one else to blame
All I can hear in the silence that remains
Are the words I couldnt say

The last chord rang out as they twirled to a stop, swarmed elbow to elbow with dancers as the next song began, but he didn't care. Out of no where, as careless as his approaching her to dance, he leaned in to her and placed his lips on hers, fear racing through as he feared how she might react.

***This is a little longer than usual because in a sense its part of a setting.***

Catherine let out another laugh as he leaned her back as the song ended. He slowly pulled her back up, and that was when she realized he was about to kiss her. Her smile faded from her face realizing that the moment had turned into something more serious, more intense. She saw the glint in his eye as he leaned forward and pressed his soft lips to hers. She closed her eyes as her lips seemed to form to his as she softly kissed him back. She felt his hands move as they found a more comforting spot around her waist. Her body automatically stiffened realizing it was Nick. He pulled away as he released her. Catherine realized then that she just screwed up his moment, and quietly cleared her throat. She was immediately concerned with his feelings, and her eyes looked upward until she met his intense brown gaze. She opened her mouth to say something, but was at a loss for words. Catherine’s mind was reeling as her hand slowly crept up to her mouth, and felt the moisture from the passionate moment they both just shared. The look on his face hardened, and she opened her mouth to say something as her pager went off. His pager went off a few seconds later as well. “Damn, it’s Brass,” Catherine said at once as she stared at Nick’s mouth, and then took a deep breath as she looked away.

Sofia's system screamed for coffee as she walked into the lab. "Wonder where Greggo hides the good stuff," she thought with a chuckle. She found it behind a plant and laughed. "How obvious can you get?" she wondered as she put a pot on.

(hope this is ok)

Greg sauntered into the lab and was amazed to see Sofia at the coffee machine, usually he was the only one to make coffee everyone else had tea. He then spotted the blue hawaiian box cover and his face fell. "Sofia! How did you find that? Do you have any idea how much that costs?" he said half angry half laughing at Sofias face at being caught.

Sara flug her bag over her shoulder and walked into the breakroom, and was greeted by a screaming Greg Sanders, and an annoyed Sofia Curtis. Sara laughed at Sofia's face as she almost dropped her coffee mug.

"'Morning to you, too," she laughed, pouring herself a cup of Greg's Blue Hawiaiian into a cup from the shelf. She sat at the table, laying her purse infront of her. Sofia shot her a weird look. She usually didn't carry a purse..

The kiss, it was passionate, and he felt her conform to him as he pressed on, but then she went rigid. He froze, quickly pulling back from her, all of the joy and ecstasy from his system transforming into fear and regret. What if she didn't love him? What if this was all just a stupid mistake? What if he just ruined any chance he had with her at all, their friendship, and ability to confidently work together? He intently gazed at her as she shakily lifted a hand to her lips and gently pressed them. She opened her mouth to say something, but their pagers went off. His eyes dulled again, knowing the moment was ruined. "Damn, it's Brass." Her voice was quieter, not at all the same. Clearing his throat, he put his pager back on his belt.

"Me too. Guess we have a case. I'll drive." Walking quickly back through the crowd, not even sure if Catherine was following him, he emotionlessly paid the bartender for dealing with them, even if they didn't have any drinks, and shrugged on his black jacket, grabbing the keys to the Denali, and walking out the front door.

Greg stopped yelling when Sara walked in. He looked at Sara then at Sofia and then back at Sara again. "Ok, i'll go" he said "Um Sara the purse and you look lovely together, but why do you have it?" he asked, frowning as he realised that they had both now taken his invaluable Blue Hawaiian.

"Gee, thanks, Greggo," Sara said sarcastically, pulling a strand of curled, dark hair out of her brown eyes. "And stop flirting with me! I have a purse because.. Well.. I have to go," she blurted, standing up swiftly and walking briskly out of the room, leaving both remaining occupants staring blankly after her.

Sofia laughed, shaking off a little embarrassment. "Sorry, Greggo, but you've got a lot to learn. A: the coffee they give us tastes like motor oil and B: If you don't want people finding it, be more inventive with your hiding places." She chuckled, tossed her hair off her shoulder, and sat down, coffee in hand. "I found it behind the plant, to answer your question."

Catherine reluctantly followed Nick out to his Denali. “Nick, I don’t know what…” she began to say softly before she was interrupted by her cell phone ringing. She cursed at her phone as it interrupted her.

“Willows.” There was a slight pause as she listened to the other person on the phone, and then hung up. She took a deep breath and looked at Nick. “That was Grissom he wants us all to report to his office. Supposedly there is a lot going on tonight,” she said as she slowly rolled her eyes.
