Yeah i think that maybe Nick- needs a big push from someone probably Catherine- where she'll say something like "This is how I see it... Boy meets Boy, Boy likes Boy.... G... REALLY LIKES u..." Something that is sooo a-typical of Catherine but still poor ol' Nicholas gets it.

Poor Nicky, he needed even Catherine's help...

Greg is very confident so I'm sure he made a first move. But I don't see him making some romantic thing. I think he might push Nicky a little bit harder and without dinners and other romanitc stuff. Maybe something crazy? That's why I agree with you MsCB, that's definitely Greggo's style and Nicky like it very much. He needs something concrete and clear, no games:devil:

I really like the idea of Nick being really shy and nervous about the whole thing, and Greggo having to keep dropping hints, and then Cath giving him the push he needs. Cath would definately be the one in my opinion.

Hm, who would take the first step? Good question.
I can actually see both versions. On the one side, Greg's the one whose forward with his feelings and maybe he couldn't stand all the tension anymore and just invited Nick for breakfast or if he's really "frustrated" just took the short-cut and shoved him against the next locker :devil: I really like the last one but that's just me.
Then on the other side, maybe Nick planned a really romantic evening to tell Greg about his feelings. Or he just shoved him against the next locker :devil:

Anyway, I really like the idea of Cath helping them realize their feelings. She would be perfect dropping hints and nudging them into the right direction

When I was in city today I was thinking about Cath... I just saw in my mind funny thing, she was talking to Nick like to a child - you know, about birds, bees etc.:lol: And agree, she would be the one in this situation!

Did I say how much I love you guys? I want to agree with all of you about who makes the first move, I just love *all* the ideas. I do have a certain predilection for the locker-shove, like many of you...lol. But yeah.

Deirdre...I love the idea of Catherine having a little chat with Nick about how things are. I think she would get to a point where she was so sick of them dancing around each other and making eyes and touching that she just *has* to say something, give him a little push. I can't see her trying to advise Greg, I always think Greg unnerves her a little bit.

My Last Chance - I love that picture...is it from Rashomama? I can think of loads of scenes where there's someone else there but Nick and Greg only have eyes for each other. I must try to find caps.

Well, I believe they have a very equal relationship in many ways, but Greg definitely has the power when they are in the flirting, not-quite-together stage, because he's more confident and forward, and knows how to push Nicky's buttons (oo-er what a thought :devil

I also totally agree that whilst in a relationship they are equal, in the whole flirting period, Greggo was totally in control, and I also agree like Nick could be a bit perplexed if Greg cooled the flirting. He was totally in control.

I also agree( i'm agreeing a lot tonight ) that it would be Cath to have a little chat to Nicky, i think she'd do it great (but I'm totally Cath bias of course). I can see her talking all calmly and matter of factly with Nicky and then saying to Greg "push it along a bit" kind of thing.

Oh I agree Greggo have Nicky wrapped around his little finger. Like we have all said before Nicky is some what dense when it comes to the flirting aspect. Where as Greggo is a pro at it. I like the idea of Nicky courting Greggo. But then Greggo gets him so flustered they end up doing naughty things right away. Thats just the sorta effect Greggo seems to have on him. The pictures posted just show the deeper connection the boys have. Its like no one else is there in the picture with the way they are looking at each other. From the looks on Sara and Warrick's faces, you know they know. No doubt in my mind. Also I love the idea of Cath talking to the boys about their attraction. Like others may see it but not take the next step. Where as Cath would give them both advice how to work their relationship along.

I agree with you My last_chance... Greg is soo incontrol in his relatiionship with Nick, that Nick is sometimes left in wonderment? or even in puzzlement.... Having said that, its because Nick saw Greg for who he is that gave Greg the power to be in control...

I think that Nick tries to be more confident, and flirty, but he just can't. He knows that Greggo is the flirtmaster. I also think that Nick's got more confident in the last season or so, maybe since they've been together for a while, and he knows he can be totally himself, and if he wants to do something (like wink in redrum) then he will, because he knows how Greggo feels about him.

Agreed! He definitely gets more confident as time goes on, and he gets more comfortable with himself and being with Greg rubs off on him (ahem).

Thank you all for all fanfic related comments, I'm glad people read and enjoyed, I had immense fun writing that one. I wrote fluff today...I don't know what's the matter with me, I'm virtually angst free this week

Just been watching S2 Anatomy of a Lye...Greg is so trying to impress Nick with all that ‘mountain shadow effect’ stuff...Nick is trying equally hard not to look impressed. Until the end, and he has this little expression on his face. Nick’s face always gives him away. I forget how many scenes there are like this, where Greg casually suggests something to Nick, ever-so-nonchalantly, that totally makes the case. I’m thinking of similar scenes in Scuba Doobie Doo and Up in Smoke just to name a couple. I think early on, like in the S2 scenes, Nick is really frustrated because he doesn’t want to give himself away by thanking Greg too effusively or showing he is impressed. But, oh, he is

]I think he likes, but is a little intimidated by, the fact that Greg is so clever. I’m not saying Nick’s not, because he is, but he has a more linear logic, he’s very focused, whereas Greg’s openness to new ideas and ‘thinking outside the box’ for want of a phrase that isn’t a horrible corporate motto (sorry) allows him to see stuff that Nick doesn’t see. They just make a wonderful crime-fighting team, do they not...*sigh*

And they look great together, and have amazing chemistry. Don’t mind me, I’m just in a sappy Love mood
