Stetler/Horatio Slash Thread

It's my favorite Horatio/Rick scene. There was such tenderness between them. I wish they'd give us more scenes like those. I don't understand their need to make Rick so evil all the time. It's so one-dimensional. I like it when we see that caring side of him.

Come to think of it, it may have been the last time someone actually showed concern over Horatio's well being. OTP for life!

omg, we so need more Ricky Racoon/Red Fox slash fanfic. XD Those two are hot together when they 'fight' and I will admit that I hated Stetler at first but now this thread has turned me onto them and I so can not wait for the new season to start so I can oggle them!

No, you're not seeing things. :) The Stetler/Horatio slash thread is back!!! They are my One True Pair and it's time to get some discussion about them going again. If you saw Season 6, you'll know that there was a lot of interesting dialogue and scenes between them. We can talk all about that here, but I need to go learn how to do the spoiler code thing before I say more about the details of what happened between them. Usually I'm already in the spoiler lab section so I haven't learned how to do the spoiler buttons yet.

Anyway, we can talk here about all kinds of things about the guys. Which one do you see as the more dominant of the two, for instance? Definitely Horatio, in my opinion. And what about fan fiction? There's been some good stuff written, and there's stories being written currently. We can talk about and post links to stories that are within the PG-13 rating. Anything rated beyond that can be discussed (and the links given) through email or PM messages only. So be careful not to mention those naughtier stories here. Sorry about that, but I tried to carefully read the rules about that kind of thing.

Well, here's a question to start things off: What is the first episode where you noticed there seemed to be some kind of chemistry between H and Rick?

Lol, wow, this thread is back! I thought I'd died. Last time someone posted was almost a year ago!

I'm glad it's back, because bottom line: these two want each other bad.

First episode I noticed the intense!sexual!tension!... I honestly don't remember. I think season 3, when Rick started dating Yelina (or was that season 2?). He didn't really seem to be into her at all, but he was really interested in Horatio's reaction. Like he was trying to make him jealous or something. Oh, Ricky.

I'm glad to see this thread take off again. I'm new to the group and new a bit to the CSI series. I have noticed the antagonism that Rick and Horatio have as well as at times, Rick's eagerness (obsession?) in keeping tabs on where H is going- like when he followed him to the church, for example. Antagonism can work in two ways, one: people can really dislike each other- or it can be a smoke screen for feelings that 2 people have for each other that they're not as of yet conscious of. That's why this pairing would be interesting to see as they say where there is smoke there is also FIRE and Horatio is sure capable of starting fires!

Hi!

I'm new to the thread as well and this group as well, I'll be happy to discuss this at the pg-13 level here, anything else I'll discuss in e-mail, when I learn how to properly share my e-mail privately with others. Thanks for your patience-

Hi midnight_tiptoes and ruby&theheadmen!!

I think the first episode where it was noticable to me something was going on between H and Rick is at the very beginning. "Blood Brothers" is the first ep Rick showed up in, and when he walks over to H and tells him he made a lateral move in the Dept. it's like he's trying to impress him, but H gives him a really rude response. It's obvious this bothers Rick because he does a big sigh and looks at Yelina. This is when he gets the idea that he will get back at H for being mean to him and so he gets involved with her. And yes, I too think that he was trying to make Horatio jealous throughout that whole relationship.

And he does like to follow and do a lot of checking up on Horatio, like following him to church. He has it bad for him no doubt about it. Horatio knows this now, but he still doesn't trust Rick. I want him to start trusting him more and to be nicer to him this next season.

Hey all. I've never been on this thread before, but I've just seen the pics posted by Lost2MuchSpeed they are good pics:) I was wondering if the 3rd pic down the list on page 9 was Rick?, he or should i say David Lee Smith looks very different in that, yet hot:p

Hi callie, welcome to the thread. I was looking at the pic you're talking about and I was going to say no? But I honestly don't know for sure. I think it might be someone from CSI Vegas. I'm not 100& sure because it's taken at a different kind of angle. That's an earlier part of the thread, too. Maybe midnight tiptoes knows. I'd also like to know what those pics were that don't come up anymore from that same list.

I haven't seen that particular picture yet; I'm still new to the show and starting to notice those *little things*. I think I'm going to go back to the episode where (the one where Jake as a Undercover Cop showed up) Rick and Horatio have their little exchange. I remember from it Rick wanting to be mettlesome at first but then deciding to help (it's the look on his face, how it changes that interests me). Of course H gets the last word in telling him to look up what was it *higher up on the food chain?*
This inability of the two of them not even play nice tells you that something from the past (that we haven't been privy to see just yet) is causing this friction- or is the friction itself that make both men edgy- each one knows how to get under the other's skin, in Horatio's case- he's got the upper hand-his bite is sharper, deeper and hits right home to the point (as always). What do the rest of you all see?

One wonders if Rick is going to start checking up on that Archbishop? Just another thing that he can add to that little file he has on Horatio- the one that he's not letting anyone see... hmmm

It sounds like you're talking about "Going Under" from season 5. Yeah, at the end of that conversation, Rick gives in and let's H tell him what to do. I love that scene. Back then, Rick really didn't like being told what to do. But during season 6, he really went out of his way to help H. I think his love towards him has gotten stronger. Well, I know it has.

There's always been a certain "energy" between the two guys when they're having one of their conversations. They are meant to be together.

Perhaps they need a case where they are forced to be around each other for an extended period of time-you know, the whole planes, trains and automobiles sort of thing. Also, has it ever been revealed where Rick comes from? ( wonder about that southern drawl...)

Oh, I love how he talks; I just love that accent. But, no, there's never been anything in the show about where Rick is from. I read that the actor, David Lee Smith was born in Alabama, though.

Haha, yeah, it would be interesting if they were trapped somewhere where they had talk to each other. I'd say like trapped in an elevator, but that's so cliche. Maybe one of those gondola things...and Rick has a fear of heights. Horatio has to calm Rick down by kissing him, it's the only way.

I find the accent to be rather cute, it makes Rick rather special.Well the kiss could occur on a helicopter flight- "birds in the air" as H would say LOL!
