Okay, I guess I'll have to let it go, since this is probably the only explanation we will get. And, maybe I can see where Sara wouldn't want to let Grissom know she was in foster care, so she could make her point without divulging that she was talking about her foster family.I asked Melissa Byer about that revelation, and here's what she told me:
The reference from "One hit wonder" came before Sara revealed to anyone that she was raised in foster care (Nesting Dolls). Therefore you are right, she was referring to her foster brother.
But I still don't think the quote fits Sara considering her family history. And, more than that, I'm afraid that the supporting characters and their backstories will become irrelevent in this 'new' CSI anyway.
ETA: Just PLEASE don't forget she is married!
I agree. I sincerely doubt anyone actually researched this when writing it. Think about how many writers there have been for the show over the years. They aren't diehard fans like us, knowing every detail that's ever been written or broadcast, and let's face it...most viewers, even those who call themselves fans, won't notice some of the things we notice.
