:lol: i was talking to one of my friends, and i was talking about A Scanner Darkly, and she said "I want to see this move" and i said "Why? you don't even know what it's about." and she said "Who cares? it has Rory in it!" :D

when i first watched the trailer, it scared the crap outta me! :lol:
but then i watched it again, and i thought it was cool...

Ohhhhh. So not here in the U.S.... Oh well.

I do prefer it being on TV too, so everyone can see Speed, but I do enjoy the commercial free DVDs. Unfortunately, it's hubby's turn to pick a DVD (darn it!) so I have to wait til we return his so I can get another S1 disc in the mail (Blockbuster online). :rolleyes: It would've been nice to also watch S2 at the same time.
 
Hi everyone! I rise from the ashes of RL... How has everyone been? I have missed this thread so much, and getting all the info on Rory... It seems like he has disappeared from the face of the earth, but I keep looking. I'll catch up on the rest of the thread later! Just dropped in to say hello , and spread the speed lovin'!

As for the topic, I keep my s1-2 dvds ready and willing, because one never knows when the need for speed pops up :lol: . I will say how cool it would be to see him on tv and not dvd, alas, I missed the repeats on A&E , they are now on the third season. Ironic though how the only eppy i saw of him on tv was lost son, a year after they aired it :rolleyes: Thank God for the dvds!

I live in Germany and our station RTL will have season 2 again. It starts tonite with Death Grip.

Yup...'A Scanner Darkly' is the one with Keanu Reeves, the animated one. :D

The movie formerly known as 'Forearm Shiver' is the other movie, the one that played at Sundance. It's now known as 'Right At Your Door'. ;)

Speaking of 'Right At Your Door', I wish we could get some new info on it. I'd even be happy if it were a straight to video release, I just want to see it.

When is RAYD meant to be coming out? or hasn't the release dat been set yet? But Ayways, It is HIGHLY Propable that it won't even come to Aus. Most smallr movies dont... :( NOOO! Must have more speed! Ahem. I mean Rory. :D

ooo, i just had a thought...instead of doing Movie marathons on public holidays, the cinemas should do CSI:Miami-season-2-a-thons! :D
i think they'd only get us 2 there, but how awesome would that be!
and i'd much rather sit there for 6 hours watching Rory than boring movie after boring movie (unless of course it has Rory in it :p)

That's one of my all time favorite pics. :D

About RAYD...last I heard was that Lions Gate Studios acquired the rights to distribute the film during the Sundance Film Festival. I've yet to find anything about a release date. The smaller indie type movies don't play around here either, which is a shame as those are the types of movies I seem to prefer, lol. I live in a very small town, the theater the next town over only has two screens and only shows the big budget Hollywood type movies. :(

Yea! s2-A-Thons! WOO! But I'd drag a few friends along. But I doubt they'd be able to sit still for 6 hours... I wouldnt blink... :D
I Don't blink while watching any CSI... My friends get quite worried.... :D
 
heh, i'd drag most of my friends along too, but they'd fall asleep after about the first 10 minutes, and then i'd spend the first 3 hours after it finished glaring at them. :lol:
seriously, do the movie peopl know how much more money they would make, having s2-a-thons :lol:

her reasoning probably goes something like this 'If we can't have him, no-one can'
maybe we should start a protest outside parliament house and tell John Howard that we'll only keep voting for him if he brings Speed back :lol:


and don't worry, i hardly ever blink when watching CSI, but none of my friends watch it with me, so it doesn't freak them out :lol:

It is kinda weird lookin' isn't it? All those creepy bugs reminds me of something on the Creepshow or Tales from the Crypt. And the look on poor Rory's face trying to figure out how to get rid of them!

Ok, so S2 is playing in Australia & Germany. How cool is that! I guess it's still cheaper for me to rent the DVD than to fly out to either country. :lol:

Ahhhh, and thank you ThumpyG42 for that beautiful B&W pic of Rory. It went well with my cup of coffee this morning!!! What a nice site to wake up to!!!
