Songs for the Characters

One for Danny Messer Chumbawumba-Tub thumping
Heres the lyrics

We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away

He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:

'Oh Danny Boy
Danny Boy
Danny Boy...'

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away

He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:

'Don't cry for me
Next door neighbour...'

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

For Sara - "Empire In My Mind" - The Wallflowers

There is trouble in my mind
There is dark
There is dark and there is light
Lay your hands over my eyes
As I look deep
Through the valleys deep and wide
Across the borderline
For the empire in my mind

You are the reason I don't sleep
You are the light
That's breaking through the leaves
And you know how hard I try
to believe
I have something good inside
All the barricades I climb
For the empire in my mind

I have known love somewhere in time
I've been lifted up
I've looked honor in the eyes
I have no reason I have no rhyme
I cannot deny
There's a darkness that's inside
I am guilty by design
And now I realized
That temptations made me blind
To the empire in my mind

There is no order
and there is chaos
and there is crime
There is no one home tonight
in the empire in my mind

There is no distance that I don't see
I do have a world
No limit to my reach
I wish I would
I wish I might
To see a line tonight
Seperating wrong from right
As I am only born to try
And maybe that's the reason why
I'm afraid someday I'll find
There is no empire in my mind.

That's a pretty good one!!! I downloaded it just to see...pretty good!

Another song for Sara would be "Scars" by Papa Roach.

"Scars"

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
My scars remind me that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

Drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
I'm pissed cause you came around
Why don't you just go home
Cause you channel all your pain
And I can't help you fix yourself
You're making me insane
All I can say is

[Chorus:]
I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

I tried to help you once
Against my own advice
I saw you going down
But you never realized
That you're drowning in the water
So I offered you my hand
Compassions in my nature
Tonight is our last stand

[Chorus]

I'm drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
You shouldn't ever came around
Why don't you just go home?
Cause you're drowning in the water
And I tried to grab your hand
And I left my heart open
But you didn't understand
But you didn't understand
Go fix yourself

I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life
I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life

Nick: Grown Men Don't Cry - Tim McGraw
Greg: 100 Years - Five For Fighting
Warrick: Piano Man - Billy Joel
Catherine: Last Time Lover - Spice Girls
Sara: You Wish - Lalaine (The lyrics SO fit!)
Grissom: Remember When It Rained (cuz the lyrics say "My thoughts are all I have to do")

Not a big fan of the GSR thing but still...I think I have a song for it
Whenever I say your name from Sting

Oh man, the Gambler? Heh heh heh--nice, but I don't think it describes him too well, cause I think Warrick already knows how to gamble--LOL.

I think that The Logical Song would suit Gris pretty well (also Mr. Spock, but that's neither here nor there). I'm only thinking this because I don't think he's always been that way, so secluded and--introverted sometimes.

Because some people have listed some possible GSR songs (I'm not a shipper) but I'm thinking Through the Fire by Chaka Kahn (from Sarah's POV of course).

For Sara by herself, I'm thinking Driving My Life Away by Eddie Rabbit, just because she's so very devoted to her work, almost to the point that she doesn't have much else of a life. I don't have anything else for the other characters though. I'm thinking something from Alanis Morrisette for Catherine.

I've got I Need a Lover by John Mellencamp stuck in my head, so I probably should have waited before posting here. Brass seems like at Cougar kind of guy LOL

Do you guys know who sing the song that goes like:

"I'm a bitch,
I'm a lover,
I'm a child,
I'm a mother,
I'm a sinner,
I'm a saint,
I do not feel ashamed"

I cannot figure out who sings that, but I know that the song would describe Catherine perfectly.

Song is titled "Bitch," (duh) written/sung by Meredith Brooks. Excellent song, describes me perfectly, except the part about being a mother--unless you count my cats!

Here's a song for Sara: "Sara," by Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac. :D
