Something I have noticed

I have been re watching all seasons of CSI LV and have noticed that in the early season George/Nick keeps his buttoned shirts open to an extent. Then in about maybe midway through season 4-8 he tends to leave them open a little more ( kinda the way Warrick leaves them open) then after Warricks' death they go back to the earlier seasons or is it just me?
 
Since this only relates to the original CSI, I'll shift the thread over to that forum. :)
 
I'm rewatching the series too, and got half way through the 4th season. Never payed attention to their looks though (But I did notice that Greg gained some weight, and lost later in the series :rolleyes: ). I'm looking more into what they say and do. For example, I am starting to think that Nick should have been super after Grissom, not Catherine - seniority or not. Cath is starting to get on my nerves (please don't be offended, I used to like her while watching early seasons a few years back, but now... I just don't know). Nick backing Cath in the 9th season, when Greg didn't want to obay her order (not sure what ep, it's with that dead girl, a star) is nothing new. He does that often, though more subtle (diffending Griss before Sara with high priority case when both of them applied for the promotion). And his talk with Grissom at the end of that ep - He does not agree with him, and he can speak up no matter how much he wants that promotion - and he still respects his boss. I like that, and I like Nick more and more. There is a 'mean' streak in him, more seen after Warrick's death (and I'm talking about that patronizing smile I hate), but he is still the rock of the lab.
I think I'll start paying attention to what they wear too from now on ;)
 
I didn't notice that about Nick's shirts. :lol:

Greg gained weight? He's always looked the same to me. :lol: Except for the hair. Perhaps it was just a certain hairstyle or change of clothing style that maybe made him look bigger? Or there was one ep where Greg mentioned he'd been going to the gym. So perhaps he'd just put some muscle on. :lol:
 
Yeah the Greg weight gain ? I honestly never paid any attention I know the one epi ( can't recall the title) but he mentions to Nick about doing kickboxing or something so maybe I should start paying attention to that little detail
 
Hehe, guys, it was probably when he started working out :guffaw: Or it was the hair, because even his face looks 'rounder' to me in the 4th season. Or is it that he started to wear 'quieter' shirts, and less lab coats :lol: I'm crazy, I know. But still. I like him all the same, he's just so cute, and with those eyes and that million dolar smile... :drool:
Anyway, I'm almost to watch the infamous ep with the 'doll' thing. Can't wait, only one ep to go before that one.
As for the shirts, is it me or is Nick wearing less turtle necks after the first couple of seasons? That may go well with all 'more skin under the neck', I don't know. Lately I'm thinking that only Sara, Warrick, Jim and Grissom remained the same when it comes to clothes. Okay, Nick's style was the same, but there were subtle changes. Greg mellowed, Nick is 'more open' - more wild ;) , Cath is more decent (less cleavage - did I spell that right... Probably not, but I hope that you know what I mean), even Ray decided against suits - well, against ties anyway :rolleyes: They evolved, and that's cool, I like that about them so much - they are changing while still the same persons they were at the beginning of the show. Much more realistic than the other CSIs - which I stop watching some time ago.
Oh, man, I'm watching too much LV, spending too much time online. Can't wait to cure this flu, so I can go out again, or at least to cure this headache... It gives me all sorts of funny ideas :lol:
 
New problem

when collecting evidence the lack of using gloves ( I.E. You kill me) and there was an epi( I cant remember which season) where Greg is dusting for prints on VIDEO tape and is using no gloves if you are collecting any kind of evidence you use gloves right?
 
Well, yeah. You should.
What bothers me even more is when they are working in gloves, and then just whipe their face/mouth/whatever - and continue working. I mean - don't you need to change them? And how can you touch your eyes or mouth with gloves that were touching a dead guy just a moment ago? And if you were touching your skin - won't that contaminate the evidence you're goind to collect later, wearing the same gloves with your epithelial cells/sweat on it?

Have you noticed that sometimes the body in the morg is breathing :rolleyes: I've seen it so many times. I mean, you're going in the picture for about 30 seconds - hold your breath, it's not like the camera is fixed on you for hours.
That's what editing is for - cut the breathing out.
 
Small announcement and then a comment. :)

There's no problem with this thread, but normally we like to try to find a current thread where a topic fits rather than to keep creating new ones unless they are significantly different from what we already have. Otherwise, we would have a lot of people each creating their own "My thoughts on whatever" threads. :)

So I'd like to keep this one up, and let's just use it as a general "Something I've Noticed" thread where you can post anything you've noticed and want to comment on....things that might not fit into any current thread.

So, feel free to proceed with current discussion and/or add your own "things you've noticed" for discussion. :)


Okay, now my comment on the gloves. I've noticed a few times where it seemed they didn't use them or didn't use them correctly, but one thing that was interesting to me was on the commentary for "Snakes". George Eads notes that during the scene in which he found the candle in the desk and needed to pick it up, he puts only one glove on (because they're hard to put on and take off :lol: ) and then he keeps his other hand on his knee as he bends over to make sure he doesn't inadvertently use that hand to touch anything in the scene. So I guess they do at least try not to mess up things like that, but I guess mistakes happen. :)
 
I noticed Eric's weight fluctuated too. You can see it with his face. Think he should gain that little bit of weight he lost cos it made him look so god damn hot!! Or is that just me?
