Normally I only watch the old ones on cable, but recently saw a new episode on the network. Danny in a wheelchair? What in the world happened?

Normally I only watch the old ones on cable, but recently saw a new episode on the network. Danny in a wheelchair? What in the world happened?

At the end of last season, the whole team was in a bar toasting Det. Angell's memory and someone pulled up outside and started shooting. In the season premiere a couple of weeks ago, we learned that a bullet had hit Danny.

^Yep, exactly. The bullet left Danny's legs paralyzed. Though he told Lindsay the doctors gave him a 60% chance of walking again, in reality they only gave him a 10% chance. But by the end of the premiere (which was set a month after the shooting), he could move his toes a little, and in the last episode it was said he's entering physical therapy. So we'll see... but for now, he's in a wheelchair.
