Season 14 Spoiler Lab Discussion

The line up for episodes 5 and 6:

14X05 (Episode 300) - Written by: Gavin Harris, Directed by: Alec Smight
14X06 - Written by: Christopher Barbour, Directed by: Phil Conserva

It's great that Marge is back for the 300th episode.

I do wonder how they are going to get around mentioning Grissom in this episode considering he appears to me persona non grata these days. If this is an homage to the beginning of CSI it will be criminal to not mention him in some way. And by that I mean in a fond way and not with some snarky comment by Sara!

'Faux backs' - really?! I am sorry but there is no way any of the 'old cast' can pull off appearing 14 years younger! I find that notion more than a little cringeworthy.

Marg will be back for episode #300:

Really liking the sound of this episode, but no Brass "faux-backs"?
Ok, I admit, my jaw just hit the sub-basement whe I read that. Wow. Now that's a blast from the past, if I've ever seen any.

As for the faux-backs, I must agree with Frosch: a big part of what made this show so great is the fact that the characters were allowed to age and evolve with it.
Nick became slightly pudgy, Gris went from salt-and pepper to bleached grey, both Sarah and Greg have a few wrinkles, Brass got bald..it's life, and I find the fact that they're allowed to show that is what gives them a little more depth.

..I still don't want Jim to die..:(

Got any other teases about the new season of CSI? — Jacob
ADAM: We already teased that this will be a tough season for D.B. Russell professionally, but things aren't looking much better for him at home when Peri Gilpin reprises her role as Russell's wife Barbara. "Barbara never wanted to be in Las Vegas; Seattle really is her home," executive producer Don McGill says. "We've always suggested that Russell came to Vegas as a Phil Jackson-like, short-term coach putting the team back together. ... But Barbara will pose a question to Russell that is a bit of a 'put up or shut up' moment in terms of whether they will continue their lives together in Las Vegas. The purpose for Barbara to stay in Las Vegas may no longer be there."

Can't they just let one CSI lead a happy home life?!

I agree. If they could do it on NY, why not here? Plus, I think a lot of us are getting tired of Russell drama.

CSI 13.05

It’s back to the beginning for CSI’s 300th episode, when the team investigates a homicide in the home of a reclusive former casino mogul who was a suspect in a similar crime in 2000. The CSI team recalls who they were and where they were in order to solve the cold case.

Thanks ! :)

Is it coincidental that this seems alot like like the Sara/Grissom marriage issue? Sara was also supposed to return to LV to 'help out' short term while the team were short staffed. Short term then inexplicably turned into 4 years and counting, resulting in a broken/troubled marriage.

I think it's obviously when Grissom will play, because we'll have a photos, but maybe they prepare a surprise? Grissom in 300th episode... ratings will go high, but... Good that Willows will be in this ep.

Grissom - socially awkward, struggles with women, dates here and there, marries Sara. Relationship turns into long-distance marriage, long-distance something, then long-distance separation.

Catherine - divorced, cheated on, dates a corrupt FBI agent.

Warrick - marries, abuses substances, gets a divorce.

Nick - dates a hooker and that's pretty much it.

Sara - flirted with by many, dates a cheater (Hank), marries Grissom. Relationship turns into long-distance marriage, long-distance something, then long-distance separation.

Greg - dates a killer who has some serious identity issues.

Brass - married, cheats, gets a divorce.

Doc Robbins - married, wife gets accused of cheating/murdering a genealogist.

Hodges - suddenly starts scoring chicks like crazy, potential marriage is a green card fraud.

Ecklie - bitter divorce.

Finlay - married (twice). Divorced (twice). Flirts inappropriately in the lab.

DB - happily married, has four kids, a grandchild, and apparently the happy marriage is crumbling.

Det Vartann - divorced, has a kid.

David Phillips - married, has a newborn.

Hmm...

Yeah and the other shows were the same...the only pair to stabilize and be ok long term after early issues was Danny and Lindsay...aside from the coroners. Sid and Alexx were both married though it was like wife #3 for Sid.

14x05 "Fame by Fame"

Episode 14.05 of CSI: Las Vegas is titled "Fame by Fame".

When a young woman is found dead in reclusive mogul MR. WITTEN's mansion, the team thinks it's a repeat of a decade-old murder, also involving Witten. But the twists and turns of the case take them in surprising directions they had never anticipated.
