^I don't want to derail the thread any further, but I was speaking about PMs in general. NOT about anything specific.

Maybe nobody will get to say goodbye if she's going in a body bag..that's what the video looked like.

Or maybe they'll do a song and dance routine like from the Sound of Music, "So long farewell."

Just trying to interject some humour.:)

Although I'm against the thought of a CSI musical that does sound like a hilarious idea!

*hint* Season 12 DVD Extras TPTB? *hint*

Oh and I just want to quote my last post as it's probably been lost amongst the... errm... drama...

In my honest opinion, George, Paul, Jorja, Eric, Robert, David and even Wally are "originals" in my mind. I doesn't matter whether they appeared in the pilot, whether their name was on the title screens from the beginning or whether they were put on at a later stage. Each of them have clocked at least 200 episodes and that for me is enough to consider them "the original team" and they all equally deserve that special farewell.

I don't want Catherine's goodbye to be like Grissom's, i.e. individually going round each character. Give us a team moment. Something like the diner scene from "Strip Strangler" would be wonderful. I would like everyone there, including DB and Morgan. Something which symbolises the grave-shift as a team, not as secluded individuals which was a thing of the Langston-era.

I hope she just hides in a body bag to fool the bad guys. They've said over and over how they hope Marg will return for guest spots later on. I highly doubt they'll kill her off. Yeah, its possible she could go into witness protection (in which case, I hope her whole team knows or the whole team doesn't, none of this the boss and one other member are in on hiding her while the rest of the team thinks she's dead like they did on Criminal Minds).

I would hope she ends up with Vartann, but at least he's gonna continue to be on the show after she leaves. I just don't know why they bothered to have Cath and Vartann get together and make most people love them together and then go "oh they were never exclusive". Can we say cop-out? I hope they end up together and the "they were never exclusive" comment was just something to throw us off. Who knows? With all the negative comments/mail they must have gotten just from telling us that Cath will sleep with the FBI guy, maybe they cut that scene completely out of the show. I guess we won't know until we see it. I'm just glad they actually hired someone I actually really like for the role. Grant Show is pretty yummy LOL.

I kind of hope Cath's exit is a lot different from Grissom's. Like everyone throws her a party and every guy she works with takes turn dancing with her. I think Nicky's the only one who has gotten that privilege before LOL. I want hugs, lots and lots of hugs LOL.

Spoilers!

'Desperate Housewives' alum to wig out on 'CSI' -- EXCLUSIVE

A Desperate Housewives and The Event actor is coming to CSI.

Roger Bart has landed a colorful guest-starring role on the CBS crime drama, playing an eccentric wig maker. Bart’s character makes wigs for women suffering from cancer and has a very high opinion of the artistry of his work — “giving back what God has taken away” and all. He’ll appear in an episode during the February sweeps.

Meanwhile, today marks a CSI milestone: After 11 years, it’s Marg Helgenberger’s last day of filming on the crime drama.

This would be Episode 13, "Tressed to Kill."

I have no idea who he is. I've seen less than five episodes of Housewives and that's only because other family members watch it and I just happen to be in the room. Of the guys I only know Doug Savant and the cute guy with the blue eyes whose name I never remember LOL ( I think his name on the show is Mike). I've never seen The Event.

Count me as one who would love to see a scene at the end with them all at a diner, or even a casino. Since Catherine is nothing like Grissom, she wouldn't mind a celebration, cake and all. :)

That said, I really want her last scene to be with Lindsey. Like Grissom, I think it's good to end with a view of their future after CSI. (And, yes, speedy, Grissom's future and final scene was with SARA.) The scenes with DB this season have mentioned family a lot, so I think it's time for Catherine to choose a career where her personal life can be her priority. She may have a love life, too, but her one constant 'love' throughout the show has been her daughter.

I think the scenario with Catherine being in witness protection is intriguing, but in past interviews Marg has indicated a change in career for her character. Still possible, I guess. And it would have to include Lindsey.

Maybe Catherine and Vartann will be shipped in body bags to a long lost cabin and wake up next to each other and realize they are now in witness protection.

Hey that would be my final episode for Marg, but I'm not a writer on the show and however it ends is beyond our control so why worry. We have no control over how the writers do it.

I for one liked Grissom's exit. I think it was good.

I'm not fond of the witness protection idea, but have my ponderings due to the final ep title and the bag...but also note someone said DB had a bag too. So we'll have to wait and see.

Next week looks good. Is that the last before the hiatus?

Yes it is the last new ep before the new year. :)

From Entertainment Weekly:

CSI Says Goodbye to Marg Helgenberger

Sadly, Petersen — who retains a producer credit – was not there, but the rest of the cast was not only on hand to say goodbye but to participate in Helgenberger’s final scene. The particulars of Catherine’s departure will stay secret for now, but Danson will appear in Helgenberger’s last on-screen moment, as will George Eads (Nick Stokes), Paul Guilfoyle (Capt. Jim Brass), Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle), Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders), Robert David Hall (Dr. Al Robbins) David Berman (David Phillips), Wallace Langham (David Hodges), Jon Wellner (Henry Andrews) and Elisabeth Harnois (Morgan Brody).

Helgenberger’s final episode will air Jan. 25.

It was a two part the way Grissom's scene was done..first we watched him say goodbye to the lab in his quiet way because Grissom wasn't much for big scenes,

then we see him in the jungle saying hello to Sara, it was just a way of tying up a lose end of a story arc really. It was kind of inevitable the writers would put the characters together, they were building up to it for years.

Anyways, that's the way I see it.

Anyways, I wish Marg well, she did a great 12 years on that show. So it will be sad to see her go but hopefully they will find a way for her come back. I just hope it's a happy goodbye and not the sad ones we saw with Warrick or with Sara-although Sara's did end up being happy and she came back.

I have a question:

Where the heck is Archie? I could have sworn I read that he'd be in an episode this season, but so far he's been MIA. I hope he comes back soon.
