Richard Lewis: 'CSI' To Take Risks On Season 7

i think after six seasons it makes sense to give us a little more personal stories of the characters. for some of us, weve known these characters for six years (and if youre like me and didnt join until season three you more than made up for it watching repeats on spiketv ) for most shows that run this long, you really get to know the characters, csi only gives you glimpses. but i would assume most people, like myself, get attatched to certain characters *cough*nick*cough* and we want to know whats going on in their lives, we want to know they really are people outside the lab. it wouldnt take much. maybe a shirts and skins basketball game after work  grissom can be on the shirts team though.... :p and come on, guys like warrick/nick/greg are not single into their 30s. and if they are could you please send them my way? i know they married off warrick but it looks like thats over with.
although i have to agree the 'more involvement with the characters' is code word for 'gsr and catherine drama' and i know ive read that not only the writers, but also george eads is tired of the grave danger story line. unlike a normal person who would have post traumatic stress disorder and be in therapy for years, the super stoker is fine and dandy after a few months.
more characters? the cast is bloated as it is. there isnt even enough time to get all the main cast in every episode, and i love everyone of the lab techs but part of their charm is that they pop up every few episodes. hell, i think id choose having one or two more ecklie scenes rather than new lab techs  (im assuming thats how theyll add people, or more dectectives. remember vartann? where the heck has he been?? bring him back he was cute! ok im done...) wow, i think i had too much sun today, anyhoo, this turned out to be a lot longer than i expected so you got a couple of bucks out of me instead of just two cents :D

As long as this doesn't turn into CSI:Miami soap bubbles, I'm all good. I think the CSI writers know what they're doing, and they'll take good care of the show. It wouldn't hurt to see some development, as long as they don't turn it into a serial like  Dare I say it, CSI:Miami. *thumbs down*

So, I'm excited to see what the writers of CSI have to offer in season 7. :)

i am joining many CSI chat sites just to say this:
if you watch season 1 of CSI:LV you may/will see that it was a charactor-based then show you saw Grissom's home, Catherines home life, nick's social life, Grissom shouted at people (and screamed "you assholes" to dead guys in the pilot), warrick's problems and he called Grissom by his forename...

all these were story lines that spanned all three pre-beard series' gradually the charactor drama faded away and it got more involved with the victims and the science.

recently i have noticed that Grissom has reverted back to his old quietly mad self, for example: in the pilot when holly gribbs joined briefly Grissom said "im going to need a pint of your blood" "why?" "oh, so many reasons"
that phrase returned in one of the later series'.

so i advise you to watch again the first 1,2 or 3 series' and imagine it being the way it was then

he's even shaved his beard off ( :( )so it would be as though nothing has really changed

except that he and sara are now together finally.
