Resurfacing the past (CSI:Miami/EDeN)

Oh man, I hope Natalia's gonna be okay! Damn, you're upping the suspence... keep it up!

And can't you just see Horatio as either Indiana Jones or Crocodile Dundee? :lol: Instead of taking his sunglasses on and off it would be the hat. LMAO!

Oh, that would be perfect! Indy and the Crocodile kinda remind me of Horatio 'cause they all have great one-liners. So, has everyone agreed on what Eric and Natalia should dress up as?

MJ; You totally know I love this and you know I love your 'evil' mind, so hurry up and update and let us know how she is :p

Well, you won't really "see" Nat 'til chapter 5....muaahahhaaaa:evil:
but you'll learn who her attacker was, next chapter;)

:beer:

*Chapter 4*

Ryan and Calleigh arrive at Daniel Martin's apartment, the 42 year old male identified as Natalia's attacker.

"Hey ~~ do you think maybe this was just a robbery gone bad?" Ryan asked Calleigh.

" I don't think so. Eric said Natalia told him that the perp went directly for her right arm, pulling it behind her back.." she replied, searching the room.

"..and Natalia's ex broke her arm over 3 years ago." he said, then took a deep breath and looked around. " So, we're looking for a connection here; someone who might have known Natalia's past."

"I can't believe she was able to stab this guy with a sore arm!" Ryan said, thumbing through papers.

Calleigh stared into the room... "You'd be surprised, the strength you have when you're facing that kind of danger."

Ryan knew Calleigh was speaking from her own experience.
"Are you ok, Cal?" he asked placing his hand on her back to comfort her.

Calleigh gave him a nod and a slight smile. "Im fine, Ryan."

The 2 CSIs rummaged through the apartment, only to find nothing but a scattered stack of unpaid bills, and a small black book noting bets that Daniel lost. Ryan soon came to the conclusion that he had an excessive gambling problem and owed money; leading the CSI to wonder if Daniel Martin was hired to kill Natalia.

Ryan called Frank to check Martin's bank account records, while Calleigh and Horatio went back to the crime scene. It was there they found the evidence that cracked the case - a hundred dollar bill fallen from Daniel's pocket during the struggle, that carried two sets of prints.

One belonging to Daniel Martin, the other was Mike Farallon; an ex FBI agent who worked with Natalia 3 and a half years ago. Her and the agent once had a close friendship until his recent involvement with an informant's murder.
Agent Farallon had lost his wife, and his job, but managed to weasel his way out from being put behind bars. He blamed Natalia for letting out his secret that he had previous affairs with the CIs.

Eric sat face to face with Farallon in the interrogation room. He fumed, wanting to jump across the table and tear him apart. Ryan sat beside him and began the interrogation.

"How do you know Daniel Martin?"

Mike sat back in his chair wearing a devious smile, with his hands folded in his lap. "I helped him out, about a year ago or so. He was in trouble with some debts ~~ so what ~~ is that a crime?"

"Paying him to kill Boa Vista is." Eric spoke calmly, containing himself. "We found a bill at the crime scene where she was attacked ~~ your fingerprints were on it."

"You can't tie me to that! I told you, I gave him a loan for his debts.."

Ryan interrupted, sliding a paper in front of him. "We checked Daniel's bank account ~~ five thousand dollars is a generous loan."

Eric grew frustrated with his lies, and threw his hands down on the table.
"WHAT DID YOU GET IN RETURN ~~ REVENGE ON NATALIA?!" Eric shouted.

Mike sat forward in his chair; his jaws clenched. He made direct eye contact with Eric and spoke slowly..." I trusted her and she betrayed me."

"SHE WAS JUST DOING HER JOB!" Eric yelled, inching closer towards Mike's face.

"I CAN'T FORGIVE HER FOR THAT!" Mike snapped back at him, almost overlapping the end of Eric's comment.

Eric took his hands off the table and thought briefly of his own relationship with Natalia.
"I can." he then replied, moving towards the door.

"Delko, where are you going?" Ryan asked.

" You can finish this Wolfe ~~ I'm goin' home."

A half hour later, Calleigh and Ryan wrapped up the case, complete with Mike Farallon's confession.

"Have you heard anything on Natalia ~~ she alright?" he asked her, as they watched two officers escort Mike to the police car.

"Yeah, I just spoke with Eric ~~ she'll be fine ~~ she's in the right hands."

*end of chapter*

So we didn't get to see Eric kick ass... but interrogating Natalia's attacker is just as good! And it was so sweet of him to forgive her for the whole mole incident. Now we're getting somewhere! Let's hope he goes to check up on her.

By the way, I appreciate the Calleigh/Ryan interaction, considering you ship another couple. Thanks for that!

No problem, hun! I do multi-ship Calleigh, but I still love the interaction between her and Ryan. :p

There were a few clues on Natalia's whereabouts , actually.
(ch.3)Eric carried her out the door; Horatio said for him to "take care of her".
(ch.4) Eric says "Im going HOME"
Calleigh says at the end, she has talked with Eric & that Natalia is "IN THE RIGHT HANDS".;););)

Sooo...do you know where she is now?:p

BTW, sorry for no ass kicking. That's a bit hard to actually "write out", it's just not as effective as seeing it for real.
The purpose was to have Eric trusting her again, & realizing that what she did with Agent Mike was the same as her position as the mole...she was just doing her job.
:) Next chapter will be ALL EDeN, I'll have it for you in a day or so!

Good chapters, MJ. Loved how they were all so concerned about her. I'm glad Eric didn't lose his cool on the perp, though I know he wanted to. :lol: And I loved him calling her "baby". Awww. :)

Here is the last chapter. When Music appears in the chapter, is when a song is set to the "scene"...the lyrics are posted at the end.;)
It's a little short, but sweet and to the point...enjoy!:)

*Chapter 5*

Natalia stared outside the window of Eric's house; though the neighborhood was much different from her own, she had always felt comfortable being there... a place where she felt normalcy. She observed the living room, noticing that not much had changed since the last time she had been there. She smiled... yet felt disappointment come over her thinking of what went wrong between her and Eric in thier relationship.

"One sugar, right?" Eric asked handing her a mug of coffee.

"Yeah, thanks."

"Are you sure you don't want me to take you to the hospital?" he asked as he rubbed his fingers gently over her bandaged hand.

"No, Eric, I'm fine, really. They checked me this morning ~~ it's just a few cuts and bruises." she replied placing her coffee on the table next to her.

Music started to play softly from Eric's I-Pod in the next room. They both stood silently. Natalia stared down at his hands, now folded into hers.

"It never goes away, does it?" she asked, with her eyes fixated on thier hands.

"No one is gonna hurt you anymore, Natalia."

She shifted her eyes up to his..."That's not what I'm talking about."

Eric suddenly realized that she was speaking about them and thier feelings for each other. He looked deep into her eyes, not sure how to respond; so much to be said, he didn't know where to begin. His silence disappointed Natalia; she looked away feeling a lump approach her throat.

"We can't go back and change things though, can we?" she finally said; tears beginning to fill her eyes.

"No." Eric replied in a soft tone.

Natalia looked down and nodded in agreement...her heart felt broken.

He smiled and raised her chin with his fingers..."That doesn't mean we can't start over, 'Talia."

Eric took her face in his hands and kissed her gently but passionately. Her lips seperated; dragging her bottom lip below his, kissing him back. He ran his hands down her neck and shoulders then pulled her closely with his arms wrapped around her. Still kissing her, he eased her down on to the couch. Her hands moved slowly from his chest up to his neck, then across the scar on the back of his head.

Eric layed beside Natalia covering her with a light blanket; his arm beneath her head as a pillow. He stroked her hair as she rested her face down on his chest. The music ended... as the two lied silently, they fell asleep in each others arms.

******************THE END********************

{When you try your best but you don't succeed}
{when you get what you want but not what you need}
{when you feel so tired but you can't sleep..stuck in reverse}
{when the tears come streamin' down your face}
{when you lose somethin' you can't replace}
{when you love someone but it goes to waste..could it be worse}

{lights will guide you home}
{and ignite your bones}
{and I will try... to fix you}

{and high up above or down below}
{when you're too in love to let it go}
{but if you never try you'll never know}
{just what you're worth}

{lights will guide you home}
{and ignite your bones}
{and I will try..to fix you}

{tears stream...down your face}
{when you lose somethin' you cannot replace}
{tears stream..down your face..and Iiii}
{tears stream...down your face}
{I promise you I will learn from my mistakes}
{tears stream..down your face..and Iiii}

{lights will guide you home}
{and ignite your bones}
{and I will try}
{to fix you.}

( lyrics by Coldplay)

Awww! That was so sweet! Like the song too (not that I know it lol). I like the part about his hand under her head as a pillow. loved it! :)

Oh! That was so beautiful! I loved that she touched his scar... by the way, way to add Coldplay to the mix!
