Rerun Reviews- A Place to Review the Reruns :)

With permission from our lovely mods, I have decided to make a thread where you can review reruns, because not everyone has seen every episodes, and when you see a new episode, I find that I must write a review. :) So, here's what should happen here.
-Post the episode name
-Post a review
-Discuss the episode
-Have fun!
So, lets get started!
:D

Since each episode already has its own thread, I think this thread is not necessary. But that is just my opinion. Of course, the mods might decide otherwise. Using the Search link at the top of each page will help you find the previous threads.

Both speed_cochrane and myself thought this thread sounded like a fine idea as some of the episode threads from the earliest seasons have been lost when the topic pruning takes place at the board each week. ;)

^ Those are old threads for old episodes- s1-4 episodes still air, and people still might want to talk about them. The mods actually thought it was a good idea and approved it. Thanks for the idea though, Dynamo1 :)
I'll start off. This is from 'Hard Time' which was from s2

Basic story- former rape victim found with blunt force trauma, still alive after at least 72 hours (kept alive by maggots, what else?) and the CSIs play it as a murder. Horatio goes to south Georgia because he thinks her accused rapist, who is set to stand for parol soon and her testify would keep him behind bars, and is there in prison, is responsible. He is found to have blackmailed one of the security gaurds into killing her, and having his girlfriend lead her to the place where she was attacked.
In the end, she lives, and her rapist- Mason Shaw, is denied parol and arrested for attempted murder.

Horatio was great in this episode- he was his old self, something we aren't used to anymore, (I miss s2!) where he was saving someone's life, and comforting her- he told her she'd make it, and the doctor told him 'sometimes just saying it can make it so.' I loved watching DC work his magic, he was brilliant.

Speed was amazing as well- he had to comfront the son of Shaw, and interrogate him- eventually the son confessed to having given his father money when he visited, and realizing that his father had indeed raped someone- it was a huge realization, and Speed was great to watch as he watched this. He also had some great lab scenes (did I mention he looks great in a labcoat and dress shirt? Cause he does) and really made a break in the case.

Calleigh and Eric were great as well, Calleigh made some breaks in the case (it reminded me of 'Rio' because they had to get evidence over the phone) and Eric ended up coming up to Georgia with Tyler (I really miss Tyler, he was great and really cracked the case when he found out that the victim's cell phone jam while she was trying to call 911 was because of one of the security gaurd's hearing aids- of course with H's brains) and resolving the case.

Everyone was great in this episode (and everyone looked really good, as usual) and we got some old H- at the end he visited the victim (I'm so sorry I forgot her name) in the hosiptal, he was sweet and sympathetic. She told him 'I'm scared' and he was saying 'I know.' He was, as usual, amazing, and it really made me miss the old H we all know and love. TPTB- I hope you know what we're thinking!

H also had some great facial expressions going on here- surprised, happy (he smiled a lot, but sometimes it was that smile he gives suspects) sad- David Caruso, thank you for your acting skills. We (at least I) love it!

That's my little review. Feel free to post about this ep, or a new review. :D Hope this thread does well, and at least survives. :) Thanks again ThumpyG42 and speed_cochrane, or lovely mods, for the approval. Hope to see you guys around here as well.

ETA: Oh sorry Thumpy I just said exactly what you said, you posted while I was typing. Sorry. :D

I watched the very first episode of Season Miami yesterday. Actually, it was officially a LV episode, since it had the beginning and ending credits of LV, and had DC,EM,AR,KA,and RC as their Guest Stars.

Horatio is searching for the little girl and finds her. Here's the short convo.

Horatio: *sits beside girl*
Girl: They're looking for me ya know.
Horatio: Me too. Me too. *whispers* Howa bout we get foud together?
Girl: *smiles, nods*
Horatio: *relaxes* *sighs* What a day.

I just liked this part because Horatio was so soft and kind and caring, yet casual. :)

When Cath from LV is talking to the little girl she asks what is in her hand. The little girl closes her hand, puts it behind her back and refuses to give it to Cath. Then Horaio comes, nods and says "It's ok." and the little girl then gives the bullet in her hand to Cath. I LOVED IT. Showed to Cath and all the viewers that Horatio is great with kids, and really connects with them. :)

Loved this part too.

Horatio: I bet it felt cold when you picked it up.
Little Girl: No...it felt hot. *pause* Your tricking me.
Horatio: *smiles* Oh your too smart for that.
*little girl smiles*

This was one of my favs....

Eric: [about to scuba dive into a lake] Someone gonna cover me?
Horatio: [looking sexy holding a rifle] I got ya.
Cath: Cover ya for what?
Eric: Alligators.
[shocked looks from Cath and Warrick]
Speed: Only way to outrun a gator is to swim faster than the guy next to you. Ain't that right Delko?
Eric: *jokingly* I used to have a partner.
Horatio: Guys. Please.

...mostly because the posture Horatio had holding that rifle was just SO sexy.... ;)

^ Was that 'Cross Jurisdictions?' I have to see that! *runs off to download*
That loks great! So glad someone else thought of posting in here besides me! :D Thanks Lora
I saw 'Grand Prix' the other day and it was sort of ok, not my thing. It's hard to enjoy the episodes that don't have any siginfigance (as in funny part, super-acting, excitement, ect) if they're reruns for me because most people have already seen them...the hype is gone. I love new eps and really good old eps. :D
Anyways...any more? *runs to buy 'Cross Jurisdictions'*

Oh i've seen Grand Prix like 3 times. The guy who killed the young driver, OMG his shirt was so....blegh. Brown and black. Yeesh.

I'm glad you enjoyed 'Cross-Jurisdictions' Hunter. :D Personally, it's one of my favorite episodes. :)

I also love 'Grand Prix'. I was watching it the other day and I had completely forgotten how much I loved that episode. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me it was really entertaining. :)

Last night I was watching Witness to Murder, and I have to say, brilliant episode. *claps* I could never get tired of that episode, no matter how many times that flasback with the diamond dealer and Doug happened. (That's the only problem I have with that episode - The repetitive flashback) The episode was a prime example of the exceptional acting brought forth by the cast.

I also loved the case B, and it was really great to see Speed and Delko working a case together and not actually leaving for seperate rooms until the end of the episode. And I loved the wardrobe.

A&E has really re-kindled my love for the show. *sigh*

There was that one wuote, i can't remember it well.

Horatio: What's you size? You look like a 9.
iforgethisname: And who are you? A shoe salesman? Shoo, your boring me.
Horatio: You want some excitemeny? Ok. Your under arrest.

Care to correct me please? I forget a lot of it and i just woke. And believe it or not guys, i'm playing the drinking game with 'Dispo Day'. Hey it's the weekend.

Anyone know where you can download 'Cross Jurisdictions?' I've never seen it and would really, really love to.
I don't know, 'Grand Prix' just didn't do it for me. I do however, love 'Witness to Murder.' It was great- I also loved Speed and Delko and just the whole ep really kept me engaged whilst 'GP' didn't. *sigh*
Thanks for keeping the thread live, Geni and Lora. :D

Your welcome. :)

I didn't even know you could download episodes. Even if i did, i couldn't. Dial-up you see. Try 'megaupload.com' Lilly. I've heard of that one.

Just remember when discussing downloading episodes that we keep in mind the Intellectual Property rules. ;)

Board Rules - Intellectual Property
As a fan site for a television show, intellectual property is an important topic for us. We cannot legally or morally condone tape-trading in episodes or downloading episodes online, and do not allow discussions on this matter. Any other copyright violations will also not be allowed.

That being said, please make sure when discussing a way to aquire the episodes, that it be a source like iTunes, Amazon, Ebay, etc. where they are available for purchase. ;)

^ And like Shane said, your best bet is to rent or buy the DVDs. I know that a lot of video stores have the box sets to rent. :) (Specifically, Blockbuster often does this)
