Real Corpse Found on CSI: New York Set

wow that is wierd, and the *spoiler* makes it even wierder (almost forgot I'd have to go to spoiler thread if I said it lol)
 
Thats so awesome!! we were briefed about that today at work too, it was pretty cool, my supervisor was like 'okay Unit 83, 29, and 27 you're covering medicals corresponding to (he said the building, but I'm not going to because its "confidential" so says my boss) and oh yeah, A Mummified corpse was found at that building during shooting for CSI:NY so, have fun.." and I was like "what?" wow!!
 
Oh man, it so is. We go stand post on movie/tv sets, its awesome... wait for people to keel over... crash into other cars... ya know.. the usual... lol.. thats so bad. We get excited about getting a call, I did it today - we went to a traffic accident and I was like "YES!" when we got the call, and then my partner shook his head and I was like "yeah, oh, yeah not good.. someones hurt... bad.. BUT YAY!" it was funny.... wow so O.T. Sorry...

Thanks for posting about this, can you imagine being the dude who found it??
 
That's like how I feel working in the hotel business. You read a lot about housekeepers finding dead celebrities from drug overdoses or some other medical problem but hoping you aren't the one who discovers that.
 
Wow! That's cool! I'd love to find a corpse! :D
I mean, I'm curious about what could be my reaction to that.

that is really freaky... :S its like fate lol they film an episode about it, then find out its real! damn... i get shivers jus thinking about it!
 
the corpse that we use are the ones not being claimed by someone or their relatives or they had been sold by their relatives (for $2,000 or more..)...some of them looks distressed, there was even this one corpse, she was very beautiful, but I think she was raped beacuse her knee was badly beaten and there was laceration...you feel sorry for them because someone might be looking for them...before and after they were used, a priest would give prayers to them, then they will be laid in the mass grave....

I'm kinda glad it wasn't on the filming floor and/or when the actors were there...it'd be like "wait, was there supposed to be a body here? I don't think this was in the script. What's going on?"
