Captain
As CSI struggles against tough competition, CSI:Miami and CSI:NY show there is no real competition.

ABC won the night on Monday with help from the Country Music Awards, averaging a 9.9/15 ratings share against CBS’ 8.0/12 and NBC’s 7.4/11. None the less, CSI:Miami took the lead in the 10:00 pm timeslot, beating out the Country Music Awards 10.6/17 versus 9.4/15. NBC’s Studio 60 continued to limp along with a 4.8/8.

ABC also won the night on Wednesday, narrowly, with a 9.7/15 share against CBS’ 9.4/15 and NBC’s 4.9/8. However, consistent ratings winner CSI:NY devastated the competition in its timeslot with a 10.8/18 against NBC’s Dateline, 5.6/9, and ABC’s The Nine, 5.1/9.

CBS won Thursday night with a 10.2/16 ratings share versus ABC’s 9.5/15 and NBC’s 7.3/11. Unlike it’s spin-offs, however, CSI did not fare as well, losing to Gray’s Anatomy 12.4/19 against 13.5/20. NBC’s Deal or No Deal took third place with 7.3/11

That's what the Washington Post said as well:

"CSI"/ "Criminal Minds." Each CBS series beat its formidable ABC time-slot competition, "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost," respectively.

Depends on what kind of ratings you're looking at. CSI won in total viewers but lost in shares. However, it shall not affect much as long as CSI is still one of the top shows.
