I still think that CSI is destined for Fridays next season. CBS is rapidly aging in terms of its 18-49 demos compared to last season so I see its making quite a few changes to its schedule. CSI NY will finally get the ax, and CSI will take over that timeslot. I could see an end of week schedule like this:

WEDNESDAY
Survivor
Person of Interest
Criminal Minds

THURSDAY
Two and a Half Men
New Comedy
The Big Bang Theory
New Comedy
Elementary

FRIDAY
Hawaii 5-0
CSI
Blue Bloods

I wouldn't be too sure of that actually. CBS have had a weak year in terms of new shows, Made in Jersey, Vegas and Partners all bombed and once Elementary levels out I reckon CSI will be CBS' top 10pm drama and I think it will be enough to keep it there one more season.

Every network is down this season, and CBS is one which is known to not make many big changes to its TV schedule come May.

I think CBS will renew CSI because their new shows are not strong enough...
Concerning old shows : Mentalist and CSI NY are more expected to be in danger than CSI Vegas

I don't think anyone doubts that CSI will be renewed. And I seriously doubt CBS would move the show to Friday. It is their highest rated 10pm show now, and it works well with Criminal Minds. Why mess with a good thing? Unless the network has a master plan to end the show after next season, I don't know why they would change Wednesdays; CBS has other problem timeslots to address.

last week brought more n.y viewers to the broadcast then vegas though.a premiere i think.

Not the same timeslot, just put NY on the same timeslot than Vegas and you'll see that it would be a disaster !
And NY didn't have any competition last week (no baseball)

Looks like CSI went up in ratings this week:

10 pm | CSI dominated with 10.8 mil/2.3, up in audience week-to-week. Nashville placed second with 5.8 mil/1.8 (down 10 percent to series lows), while Chicago Fire matched all-time lows (5.5 mil/1.5).

CSI got it's highest ratings since April!

"CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION" SCARES AWAY 10:00 PM COMPETITORS IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 18-49 WITH ITS LARGEST AUDIENCE SINCE APRIL

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION scared away its 10:00 PM competition in viewers and adults 18-49, notching its largest audience since April, leading CBS to a Wednesday win in viewers and adults 25-54 and placing a strong second in adults 18-49 (just -0.1 behind FOX), according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Halloween night.

Those are really good ratings when you realize that there are still 5 to 6 million customers over here on the east coast without power.

YES! SO many still don't have power. Some might not have power till November 7th!

Agree 100%. The Mentalist have been moved to the timeslot of death on Sunday night's so I'm fairly certain that it will be gone. And I don't think CSI NY will luck out again. For now,CSI is the golden goose along with NCIS and you keep those around.

Tied it's series low a week after having it's highest since April! But still lead in total audience and tied in the demo

Ratings

10 pm | CSI (10.3 mil/2.3) led in total audience and tied Chicago Fire for the demo win. ABC’s Nashville (6 mil/2.0) rose 5 and 11 percent.
