I hear that a man named Liev something will be replacing Petersen, at least for the time being. And I don't think that Petersen will be on permanent leave.

Keppler is going to die, so he's not going to be the "replacement" should Billy decide to leave the show altogether.

I think the orginial poster meant if Petersen left for good, who should they bring in as a replacement if they decided to.

SORRY WHO???? never heard of this person :(.. but saying that NO ONE can ever replace WP, no matter who it is!!!!!!

Replacement? Pfffff NO ONE can fill Grissom/Billy's shoes :p

Talk about a BIG SPOILER, sarahvma! Whoa. Thanks. Somehow, it makes me happy -I'm mean, I know, but hey, I just love my Grissly Bear :D

I think I'm just gonna wait and see. I'm usually the first one to say any kind of change it just gonna ruin the show. I usually end up hating whatever it is and then warming to it. I think it'll be good to have a bit of a change.

Additional: When the word replacement is brought up some might thing, like they do on the soaps replacing one actor with another using the same character. In this case I believe the "Replacement" is meant as "If Petersen Leaves and so does Grissom" who would make a good replacement for both (ie new actor, new character, ect).

Ohhhh ... Liev Schreiber ... a possible "fill-in" for Grissom? He's terrific!! Liev is a great actor. I look forward to this, should he be cast on CSI:LV.

Gris is unique, that's a given. It would be like trying to replace the Mona Lisa or another masterpiece.
