Out of touch with reality

You took the words right out of my mouth. As an Horatio purist, every time a one-liner is uttered, every time the infamous sunnies meticulously obscure his gorgeous blue eyes, I die just a little bit inside. Granted, some people actually enjoy the one-liners and samesuch, but I'm not one for what I've so appropriately deemed as the metaphorical slaughtering of one of my all-time favourite TV characters.
The classic episode "Blood Brothers" was on last night and my heart warmed to the Horatio of yore, the one who not only displayed a little more than an iota of human compassion but also wore something other than black.
