CSI Files

Captain
With the November sweeps still in full swing, CBS will continue showing only new episodes of the three CSI shows next week. Recently, the networked issued its official press releases for next week's episodes.

First up on Monday at 10:00pm is the CSI: Miami episode "Nailed." CBS described the episode as follows:

A woman, who was just about to sign her divorce papers, is found shot to death with a nail gun in her soon-to-be ex-husband's new home. Suspicion falls on her ex-husband and his new fiancée; however, when Det. Ryan Wolfe begins to follow the evidence, he is shot in the eye with a nail gun. Now, as one of their own lies wounded, the team must find out who killed the woman and who may have ended Wolfe's career as a CSI.

This episode was directed by Karen Gaviola, whose previous Miami work includes the 90-minute episode "Crime Wave" and last season's "Killer Date." The episode was written by Barry O'Brien and Corey Miller, who this season already cooperated on "Prey."

Below is the relatively short guest cast list for "Nailed:"

[*]Rex Linn as Det. Frank Tripp[*]Wayne Wilderson as Dr. Stern[*]Lisa Waltz as Brenda Hall[*]Mark Dobies as Karl Lampley[*]Stephen Caffrey as Gary Hall[*]Mark L. Young as Lucas Hall[*]Jennifer O'Dell as Charlene Hartford[*]David Lee Smith as Rick Stetler[*]Brendan Fehr as Dan Cooper[*]Joel West as Officer Aaron Jessop[*]Alana De La Garza as Marisol Delko[*]Eva LaRue as Natalia Boa Vista
Besides recurring actors Rex Linn, David Lee Smith, Brendan Fehr, and Joel West, only two other actors have a previous CSI connection. Wayne Wilderson may be familiar to you from his background role as parademic Kelso in half a dozen episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, while you may recognise Lisa Waltz from her guest role as Jean Kingsley in the fifth-season original CSI episode "Who Shot Sherlock?" Keep an eye out on Alana De La Garza, as her character Marisol Delko is also scheduled to appear in the next two episodes, making this a new recurring character.

The second new CSI episode airing this week will be CSI: New York's "Bad Beat," this Wednesday at 10:00pm. This is what you can expect from the episode:

A friendly poker game turns deadly when the players realize one of their own is cheating, beat him mercilessly and kick him out of their apartment. When a knock on the door is followed by a shotgun blast that kills the host, Mac and Stella follow their only lead, the ejected player. Meanwhile, Danny and Dr. Hawkes investigate the murder of a local news station's weather girl and their search uncovers a tape she was desperately trying to hide.

Director Duane Clark most recently worked on CSI: Miami's "Blood In The Water,", and before that on the CSI: New York first-season finale, "What You See Is What You See." Screenwriter Zachary Reiter last year worked on New York episodes such as "Grand Master" and "The Dove Commission."

The following actors will be making a guest appearance on "Bad Beat:"

[*]Robert Joy as Dr. Sid Hammerback[*]Lochlyn Munro as Ethan Fallon[*]A.J. Buckley as Adam Ross[*]Michael Gilio as Kelly Lindgren[*]Melinda Page Hamilton as Tara/Kayla[*]Heather McComb as Heather Davison[*]Oliver Macready as Scott[*]Adam Nelson as James Moore[*]Tony Daly as Joel Ivey[*]Agim Kaba as Eddie Brunson[*]Dan Milder as Mike Hanson[*]John Colella as Robert Dulcet[*]Troy Blendell as Leonard Curson[*]Jake O'Flaherty as Curtis Walker[*]Gwen Holloway as Helen[*]Erica Jones as Moore's Daughter
In addition to recurring actor Robert Joy, five of the above actors have a previous CSI connection. First up, with this episode Lochlyn Munro joins the elusive club of actors who've appeared on all three CSI shows, as he played Officer Hal Watson in the first-season CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode "Invisible Evidence," and then appeared as Rick Adams in the third-season Miami episode "Nothing To Lose." A.J. Buckley played Ted Martin on last season's original CSI instalment "Crow's Feet;" Melinda Page Hamilton was Julie Bryant in the second-season Miami episode "Slow Burn;" and Adam Nelson was Reed Collins in the second-season original CSI episode "Anatomy Of A Lye." Finally, Heather McComb is another three-CSI-actress: she was Ginny Taylor in the first-season Miami episode "A Horrible Mind," and Annabelle Frost last year in the original CSI's "Spark of Life."

On Thursday at 9:00pm, CBS will be airing the conclusion to last week's "A Bullet Runs Through It, Part One." This is the network's official summary for the episode:

The CSIs sift through the overwhelming evidence from a shootout with drug dealers in order to determine who is responsible for the death of a police officer killed during the incident. When a wild police chase of drug smugglers through the streets of Las Vegas leaves an officer killed, the CSIs suspect that the cop killed in the line of duty was shot by one of his fellow officers.

While last week's episode was directed by Danny Cannon, this week's conclusion was helmed by Ken Fink, who has also worked on episodes such as last year's "Weeping Willows." The writing team for "Part Two" is still the same as for "Part One," and consists of Richard Catalani and Carol Mendelsohn.

Below is the guest cast list for "A Bullet Runs Through It, Part Two:"

[*]Louise Lombard as Sophia Curtis[*]Alex Carter as Detective Vartann[*]Wallace Langham as Hodges[*]Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie[*]Gerald McCullouch as Bobby Dawson[*]Nestor Serrano as Detective Ortega[*]Jose Zuniga as Detective Cavaliere[*]Brennan Elliott as Sergeant Carroll[*]Colby French as Office Davis[*]Steve Ryan as Sergeant Adams[*]Daniel Bess as Officer Bell[*]Scott DeFoe as SWAT Commander[*]Conor O'Farrell as Undersheriff McKeen[*]A Martinez as Danilo[*]Sophia Santi as Stuckey's Mother[*]Seth Michaels as Stuckey's Brother[*]Bre Blair as Tracy[*]Yennifer Behrens as Bianca Guerro[*]Marco Rodriguez as Carlos' Lawyer[*]Liz Vassey as Wendy Simms[*]Larry Mitchell as Officer Mitchell[*]Jose Pillado as Carlos[*]Charley Rossman as Officer Beltran[*]Bill Jacobson as Uniform
Louise Lombard, Alex Carter, Wallace Langham, Marc Vann, Gerald McCullough, Jose Zuniga, Scott DeFoe, Conor O'Farrell, Liz Vassey, Larry Mitchell, Charley Rossman and Bill Jacobson will all be playing previously established characters, although you may have only seen the characters of the last several actors a few times before. None of the other actors have a previous CSI connection -- beyond, of course, appearing in last week's "A Bullet Runs Through It, Part One."

Besides the above three new episodes, CBS will also be airing a repeat of CSI: Miami's "Recoil" on Saturday at 9:00pm, as part of its CrimeTime Saturday block. In this third-season episode, shots are fired outside the courthouse after a bitter custody battle, and the CSIs must find the shooter. Bullets fly and the target is the little girl's mother. Horatio goes after the father, who he suspects may not be the girl's biological father after all. However, when the mother's shady past is uncovered, the team finds that she has a lot of enemies who would like to take a shot at her. Meanwhile, Calleigh's father returns to the crime lab for her guidance but for an unexpected reason.
