No Vegas/Miami Rivalry, Says Petersen

CSI Files

Captain

[color:yellow]William Petersen (Gil Grissom) said recently there is no rivalry between the original CSI crew and the stars of spin-off CSI: Miami[/i].
"There's a lot of room for a lot of stuff on TV," Petersen, who also serves as one of CSI's co-executive producers, told the Associated Press. "And obviously this [CSI: Miami[/i]] is doing really well. We don't really have anything to do with it. We have only to do with our show. We don't have any time to see that show. We don't have time to really understand it. It shoots some place else."
Both series are clearly popular in the eyes of the viewers, with CSI[/i] scooping the 2003 People's Choice Award for Favourite Television Dramatic Series and CSI[/i] walking away with the Favourite New Television Dramatic Series gong. While Miami[/i] hasn't quite reached the ratings heights of its predecessor, which is usually one of the most-watched programmes each week, it has proved to be a big winner for the CBS network in its Monday timeslot.
"So, we're pleased those guys are doing well," Petersen said. "It's always nice to be the only guys on the block. There's just a lot more guys on the block now."
The full interview, in which the actor also talked about socialising with his cast mates, can be found here at Yahoo! Hey guys, there's HTML instead of UBB here... :p

I think he's lying. He already said something before about being "the only CSI."
