1. Word limit on the fic is 2,500. Please remember to give the fic a title and a short summary (neither are counted in the word limit).
2. The only restrictions on the content of the fic are that Nick must be the main character and that the story must be based on the song lyrics (below). You can base your fic on the idea of the song, whole or in part, use some of the lyrics...whatever you want as long as the song is your inspiration. The fics will be presented later by way of a link, so there are no worries about mature content.
3. Please do not post your fic or any links here! Send your fic to me at the email in my profile (or you can PM it to me if it's short enough). If you email it, you can put it in the body of the email or send it as an attachment. Please put the title of your fic in the subject line of the PM or email. Deadline for submissions is Saturday, February 5, at midnight EST.
4. Submissions should be anonymous! Please do not share your story with anyone else or tell anyone which one is yours once they are posted!
5. If you would like to have someone beta (proofread) your story, please choose someone who is NOT a participant in this challenge. Or if you like, I will be happy to beta your story when you send it to me. Just let me know when you send it.
6. Once all of the stories are in, we will publish the links to them and everyone can start reading!
7. After you have read the fics, you can post feedback for them. I will post the feedback guidelines when we get the stories up.

Sorry for the double post, but I didn't want to put all of this in the challenge post.
I love this song! :lol: For the younger ones who may not know, it was the theme song to the TV show, "The Greatest American Hero" which was on the air from 1981-1983. My friends and I thought it was the funniest show! Someone even made note of it when they signed my high school yearbook. :lol:
Here is the intro to the show (along with the song) if you want to see it. It may or may not give you an idea for a song fic! :guffaw:
See, the whole idea was, these aliens gave him the superhero suit which came with all kinds of powers, but they forgot to give him the instruction book. :lol: So the whole show he's not quite sure how to use the suit right.

I woke up at five something this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, so I worked on the fic instead. The idea I had when I started to write was completely different than what I actually ended up writing lol.
Shockingly, I was actually able to write something this time. I'll get it typed and sent in soon.
Cool! I had an idea that I didn't think would work, but now that I think about it I just might be able to come up with something.

I'm in the midst of my usual process.. get a great idea immediately, then take 3 weeks letting it float around in my mind. Of course, all the great ideas come when I'm in bed about to fall asleep, and then I forget them in the morning (had about 3 scenes figured out last night, can't remember a word of them now).
