NCIS #4: *Slap* Nobody Likes A Smartass

SEASON FINALE: In response to the Department of Defense's investigation of Gibbs, agents DiNozzo, McGee and Ziva David turned in their badges and took full responsibility for the team's questionable actions. Also, the team uncovered that the murders of Ziva's father and NCIS Director Vance's wife were part of a CIA distraction from an unknown domestic threat. The final scene found Gibbs four months in the future, armed with a sniper rifle aimed at FBI Agent Tobias Fornell and the mysterious figure he was guarding.

NEW SEASON: Former Mossad agent turned NCIS Special Agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) leaves the team in an emotional episode. Several unexpected twists will occur related to the personal lives of Palmer, McGee and Vance, and the team will face one of the most dangerous adversary's they've ever encountered. Also, this season the series will mark its 250th episode.

Ok, don't flame me, but I enjoyed last night's episode so much better without Ziva. Don't get me wrong. I love Cote de Pablo, and I hope she has a successful career (I could so see her as a Bond girl), but the storylines over the past couple of years have become so TIVA centric. I loved that last night's episode focused on the whole team, and I thought Vera was a f'ing hoot.

Life after Ziva is looking up!!!!! :thumbsup:
 
I won't flame you, ragincajun, because I will admit I don't ship Tony/Ziva. I haven't seen the new season yet, but I do wish Cote the best in her future endeavors. :) This just proves you can watch a show and not fall into the shippy madness. And still enjoy it, especially if TPTB don't push it too far.
 
It feels weird to not have Ziva on the show but it does give others a chance to shine.
I will also that with Ziva gone,the soap opera route that doomed Without A Trace was avoided.

The information was just released early. It was known that Cote was going to join the cast of NCIS even though she was listed as a guest star for 3 (I believe) episodes.
Same with Jonathan Togo on CSI: Miami. He was listed as a guest star for several episodes but it was definitely known he was joining as a regular. I knew several weeks ago by the wording in one of the interviews that Emily would be joining as a regular cast member.


I'm looking forward to meeting the new character.
