I loved the A case. It was interesting and weird and funny. At first I thought maybe the three widows were gonna be in cahootz and be the shooters, but that was obviously wrong. Greg and DB were great together. DB kinda crossed the line from quirky to flat out weird in this episode, but I still like him. I was kind of amused that he asked the ballistics chick how to say her last name. I was also amused at Greg rolling his eyes at DB and just generally being annoyed by him.

The B case was really uninteresting for me. I pegged the other maid as having something to do with the murder as soon as I saw her. For some reason Elisabeth Harnois really bugged me this episode. She just really seemed over the top with her facial expressions and disdain for the Prince. Yeah, the guy was a jerk and she should've shown disdain for him, but her acting just seemed too much and too forced tonight. It was nice to see Mandy, but beyond that the case just seemed like unnecessary filler.

Nick talked about both him and Mandy wearing purple, although I can't recall the last half of it.

I was also hoping for a Warrick mention. Waaah.

I missed the Brassy part LOL. I did laugh at the end though, the comment mentioned a few posts back.

They're lucky it wasn't the prince who did it...there's that pesky diplomatic immunity thing.

Great ep!! I give it a B+, I would have given it a higher grade if there was a Warrick mention, I mean he was very much involved in the Gedda story

Greg + tux = Me happy :drool: I had hoped he'd have a few more scenes but oh well and I wish he had been talking with Ecklie and the woman at the end about what happened

Oscar, Ecklie, and DB at the end

So Sam gave her the whole casino? Interesting, how'd Greg know, Cath isn't one to talk about such things

    We kinda saw Sam :)

Greg and Old Vegas stuff :adore: always is, DB yelling Greg a couple of times :shifty: interesting, though at least they finally had some scenes = Good! I'll have an easier time accepting him if he and Greg interact, if they don't I'm gonna have a harder time accepting him, one of the reasons I couldn't accept Ray very well

    No Sara :(

    Lots of Morgan :D

Did anyone else notice the similarities to the Arnold Swarzzanagger (spelling ) scandel like there was a maid, someone named Maria, etc

I too am having a hard time with the new lab girl's name, maybe as we (hopefully) see her more I'll remember it better

The Prince gave the family money, Good, I hoped he would

Next week, INTENSE, and angry Greg!!:drool:

Ehh nothing too special compared to what we've seen so far. B case was kind of a letdown. I was kind of hoping that the Prince did it...No Sara :( Not even a mention of Warrick.

Tho Nick in purple is HOT :D And the comments made by DB, as someone said earlier, a really WEIRD funny. Him screaming for Greg those two times was hilarious tho!

Even tho there were some good parts I just don't know how to rate this episode :/ ?

It would have been interesting if it had been the prince, just to see how they'd work around immunity LOL

Also agree about the Greg scenes. Especially the first one. "What'd I do?" lol Also the 'shoot me in the face' scene.

I enjoyed this episode for the most part. The A case was more interesting. I always enjoy the mob history stories. Part of it reminded me of a little of "Living Legend", with the guy whacking off other mobsters. I loved that the mayor had a bullet proof coat jacket.

I enjoyed seeing DB get to interact with Greg some, since he has had a chance over the last couple weeks to mostly interact with Catherine, Nick and Sara. I am glad they are mixing it up this season, unlike the way the last two years have been with the same two pretty much always working together.

The B case was okay but I wasn't completely thrilled with how assuming Morgan was with the Prince. Yeah he was a bit of a jerk but it seemed a bit much. Nick was more neutral with him.

I did enjoy seeing Mandy again. She has new glasses again. :)

The new ballistics girl, they should have given her a little easier name. I kind of like her though. More girls in the lab is nice.

    Overall a B+ episode.

I usually don't like DLA's episodes as much, but this one was good. Lots of funny moments and lines. I liked both cases, and really like that they're mixing up partners (I like Nick, but I want to see him work with everyone, not just the lead all the time).

Good to see that D.B. acknowledged and used Greg's old-Vegas knowledge, but I found him yelling for Greg a bit odd (and Greg coming running like he was just around the corner waiting to be summoned?). It seems like Greg doesn't quite know what to think of D.B. yet too - the little eye-roll when D.B. re-enacted the shooting.

LOL, that was cute. I think Greg was thinking, "Oh here he goes again" LOL. Like he was thinking DB's a little overdramatic with the re-enactments or something LOL. And then the, "Are you gonna stay down there all night?" ROTFL. Kind of reminds me of how Cath used to be around Grissom about him always putting stuff in his mouth at a crime scene LOL.

I think that was a nod to his family-style approach to work. My family would always yell up to me in the house - and the lab is DB's home away from home.

I thought of Living Legend too
I made the comment to my son, and then had to mute during a commercial to remind him of which ep it was, like he could forget Roger Daltry  . The bullet proof suit was cool, because I was thinking they couldn't kill Oscar off as he was playing himself, that would be too weird :p

Agree! I'm always yelling to get my son's attention, and if he can't hear me through 2 closed doors, I resort to texting.
I thought yelling for Greg was really funny, and especially the "what'd I do?" :guffaw:

Nick in purple  and now we know which ep those BTS pics were taken during ;)

A lot of funny moments, and I lol'd quite a bit, but can't remember all of them right now. Most have been mentioned, so I won't be too redundant if I can help it. I was really only interested in the B case just to see Nick

Greg in a tux, definitely worth seeing that again!!
I did like how Morgan didn't rise to the Prince baiting her, but there was a time or two I thought she leaped to a conclusion a little too quickly, and it was better that Nick was a bit more neutral. At least the Prince gave the family money at the end, it took away some of his Royal Jerkiness.

No mention of a "triangle", yay! Morgan didn't seem to be especially over-excited to work with Nick, although his comment about it at the beginning was funny.

The new ballistic gal's name was not how I imagined it being pronounced. She said it with a "c" sound, while I was mentally hearing either a "z" like in Xerox or a "sh" as in Shamara (phonetically speaking). It will take some getting used to.

    Nick hovering over Mandy
Reminded me of some past eps, plus I'd love to hear him sing to her again

Exactly. I was not thinking it would be pronounced that way either. I think that is why I wish they had not used that name. If they are using a hard name in the first place, have it pronounced how most people would be use it being.

I liked that there were two cases instead of the whole team having to jump on the "MAYOR IS SHOT!!!!" case. I kind of thought Sara would be working the B one with Nick, but I wonder where she was.

The A case didn't interest me much. I was confused with all of the different kinds of bullets and guns and different shooters. I think if a character has to explain at the end what happened (DB), something is wrong.

Still loving DB. Oh...and we're on a roll...4 weeks in a row with the wife being mentioned. ;) And this week even his "work wife"...Ecklie!

I thought it was funny the way he yelled in the lab for Greg twice and Catherine once. And I liked Greg's eyeroll at the beginning...kind of like Nick last week pleading, "Oh, please don't start that". I think this will become a theme...them being befuddled by his behavior. Like someone else said, it harkens back to Grissom's days of doing weird, gross things.

Brass worked both cases. That was interesting. Seems like for awhile there he was MIA and then there were new detectives and now it's just Brass.

    Anyway, overall not bad. :)

I thought it was an enjoyable episode, I quite liked it. There were funny moments, interesting twists, and Vegas history. DB yelling for people was hilarious .

I have to say the ending of case A took me by surprise. I really thought Vinnie was back and wasn't suspecting the wife at all. Nor was I suspecting the whole thing with the hit list and the money and the ex girlfriend. The B case wasn't as interesting but it was still good.

I find it so interesting that a lot of people are having trouble with the new ballistics girl's name since were I'm from it's so common. When DB asked how it was pronounced I was kind of surprised.

Having the major was really cool. I liked how he played his part and wasn't expecting him to have so many scenes. The bulletproof suit was really cool. I too kept thinking if they would actually kill him because it'd be very weird since he actually exists lol.

    Good episode B+.
