Locker Room #19: Danny/Carmine--Everyone's Favorite Danny-in-Distress

Re: Locker Room #19: Danny/Carmine--Everyone's Favorite Danny-in-Distr

Did we see any promotional mentions between Mac telling Danny he was off the grid in season 1 and the Sgt stuff? If not,it feels like they skipped a level. Watching s1 reruns brings up new questions lol

I do remember Mac telling him he was off the promotional grid and maybe later in the season or seasons later, Danny is told he is back on the promotional grid.

EDIT: Network might have cut that scene.
If there ever was a scene where Mac put Danny back on the promotional grid, it never got aired. I've always chalked the event up to something that happened in the time lapse that happens between seasons. For example the events that led up to Mac and Peyton getting together between 2 and 3. But also, although Danny clearly got his detective 2nd grade promotion at some point, the grades of detective have nothing to do with the promotions to Sgt and then Lt. Technically, detective grades aren't 'promotions' per se, just a higher pay grade and recognition.

Oh, ok, thanks.

Did anyone catch the rewatch of Officer Blue? Danny says something that sounded like 'they don't call me....for nothing..." but I didn't catch it all. Any help?

Re: Locker Room #19: Danny/Carmine--Everyone's Favorite Danny-in-Distr

awww love that second one.

Is it me or does he look a bit...I don't know, worn? Haggard maybe? Or is it just the shaggy beard doing it? I know things have been tough lately :(

TNT reaired Run Silent, Run Deep last night...I have a few problems with the ep, but I so love the Mac comforting the crying Danny scene. I just wish the writers would mention Louie again beyond the brief mention in that first Shane Casey ep back in s3.

i love this episode, and as you, last scene between mac and danny is just amazing.

I hope to know more about Louie if the show renewed

I thought there was a hint about him in the episode where Sheldon went to the Pittsburgh prison to talk to a death row inmate who was to be executed. Think I recall Danny saying, 'I had Louie.'

Yes, there was a hint in that episode. They were all talking about Sheldon not telling them he had a sister and them all having things in their past they weren't proud of. Danny did say, "I had Louie, but I was always up front about him," or something similar to that. To me that was TPTB's way of saying Louie was dead, or at least that we'd never see him again. Unfortunately it was pretty much a throwaway line so a lot of people may not have caught it or not thought that it implied Louie wouldn't be seen again.

Re: Locker Room #19: Danny/Carmine--Everyone's Favorite Danny-in-Distr

I definitely missed that line...it wasn't in 'Redemptio' was it? I didn't see that ep. But I'm not sure from the description.

Re: Locker Room #19: Danny/Carmine--Everyone's Favorite Danny-in-Distr

Ah. I ought to go and watch it sometime, I just often have a low tolerance for nail biters...although I shouldn't have avoided it... except in rare occasions, the main characters will usually get out alive. Still, the point is definitely true that many people might've missed the line.

Can someone enlighten me about this IMDB entry?
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0320546/
It's confusing because it says 'born Carmine'...but usually even if actors have gone by other names, they don't have two entries. If it's a brother, it makes me wonder what Carmine's birth name was.
