*2 and a half years later*
*Liz, Ryan and Calleigh's daughter is 3. Lily and Noah, Ryan and Calleigh's other daughter and son are now 5 and a half* *Calleigh was in the kitchen as Noah and Lily atebreakfast before school*
Calleigh:Come on Lily. finish up. you don't want to be late for your first day of first grade.
Lily:eek:k mommy.
*Calleigh handed them thier backpacks as Ryan came in*
Noah:daddy!
Ryan:hey! there's my little guy! ready for school?
Noah:yep.
Lily:what about me daddy?
Ryan:now how could i forget about my little princess? are you ready for school?
Lily:yeah!
*Liz was crying for Ryan in the living room*
Liz:daddy....DADDY!!
Ryan:eek:k, ok I'm here sweetie. what is it?
Liz:i want you to stay with me
Ryan:aww sweetie daddy has to work.
Liz: :(
Ryan:don't worry as soon as mommy and I pick you up from daycare you and me will play what ever you want ok?
Liz:eek:k daddy.
*Calleigh walked Noah and Lily outside because the bus was here*
Noah and Lily:bye mommy! bye daddy! bye Liz!!
Calleigh:Bye have fun!
Ryan:and bee god!!
*Liz was waving bye as thr bus drove off*
Ryan:come on sweetie we have to get you ready for daycare.
*Ryan and Calleigh drop Liz off at daycare and headed to the lab*

Ryan:Hey H
H:hello Ryan. welcome back. how are the kids?
Ryan:good. how are things with you and Yelina?
H:eek:h just great
Ryan:good and how's Ray?
H:he's good.
Ryan:how old is he now? 16?
H:17
Ryan:wow. time flies!
H:yes i agree.
*Calleigh came over*
Calleigh:hi Horatio. how's Yelina?
H:good.
Calleigh:that's great.
H:*his phone rang* i'll see you later *he picks uo the phone*
*Calleigh and Ryan head over to the break room*
Natali:Hey Ryan, Hey Calleigh. how are the kids?
Calleigh:Good. Noah and Lily started first grade today
Eric:eek:h really. Anna too.
Ryan:great.
Natalia:yeah and guess what.
Calleigh:what?
Natalia:Eric and i are expecting another baby. I'm a month and a half
Calleigh:eek:h great! congratulations.
Eric:so waht about you guys. you gonna have anymore kids?
Calleigh:*laughs* yeah no more kids for us. three are a big enough handful.
Eric:*laughs*
*Alexx came in*
Ryan:hey Alexx
Alexx:hey baby. how are the kids?
Ryan:good.
Alexx:that's good.
Calleigh:and how have you been Alexx?
Alexx:good.


*later*
*Ryan and Calleigh picked up Liz and went home*
*Then Noah and Lily's bus dropped them off and they came in the house*
Calleigh:so how was school?
Lily:good.
Noah:yeah it was good.
Ryan:that's great.
*they all sat on the couch and watched a movie together*


*Later*
Ryan:eek:k you three bed time
Noah:night mommy, might daddy
Lily:night
Ryan:good night
Calleigh:night
*they hugged them and went upstairs to bed*
Liz:night mommy..night daddy
Calleigh:night sweetie
Ryan:good night pumpkin.
*she hugged them and went upstairs to bed*
Calleigh:well we're alone with nothing to do...the kids are asleep. wanna have soem fun? :devil:
Ryan:you read my mind :devil:

AWWW!! So cute the I love Liz she's so adorable! I loved the update! Keep it up! and I can't believe Ray is 17! Wow

Need4Speed I'm sorry but I've been wrong to explain...I haven't come across another sequel of your fanfic.In Italy we use to write or to say "There's a..." for explain the news or the surprise about something...
I'm sorry if you are troubled about my last message :)

H:so dinner at 8 then?
Yelina:sounds good to me *she smiles*
H:eek:k dinner at 8. *he kissed her* i'll see you later

H:now how could i forget dinner with the most beautiful woman on earth?

*he walks away*

*in the mourge*
Alexx:it was deffinatly blunt force trauma to the head and what ever it was, was cylindrical.
Ryan:so that would mean that John Roberts didn't kill him with his car then but that still doen't exclude him as a suspect
Calleigh:lets go back to the scene and find the murder weapon that we're missing
Ryan:thanks Alexx.
*they head to the crime scene*

Calleigh:so acording to Alexx the object used to kill Sam Davis was cylindrical
Ryan:could've been a pipe or something.
Calleigh:let's confirm that *smiles*
*they search the crime scene*

*later*
Ryan:found it!! *photographs it and holds up a bloody pipe*
Calleigh:good, let's get it to the lab and have Valera run it.

*at the lab*
Valera:blood is the victim's. it's the murder weapon.
Ryan:thanks Valera.
Valera:no problem.

*in fingerprints*
Ryan:hey Eric here's the pipe to fingerprint
Eric:allright. *he dusts it and runs the prints* print matches Nick Johnson..
Ryan:thanks, bro.
Eric:no problem.

*in the interrogation room*
H:so Nick you wanna tell me why you did it?
Nick:what are you talking about?
H:i'm talking about killing Sam Davis
Nick:i didn't kill Sam.
H:eek:h really who did then? *takes of sunnies* the Easter bunny?
Nick:*sigh* alright fine! i did it! happy now?
H:yes because in my business that's a confession and that puts you behind bars. take him

*later*
Calleigh:hey babe?
Ryan:yeah?
Calleigh:i've missed doing this.
Ryan:doing what?
Calleigh:just you and me, with the kids at my cousin's *smiles*
Ryan:me too *smiles*
*they kiss*

*meanwhile*
Yelina:Horatio...
H:yes?
Yelina:this is nice *smiles*
H:yes. yes it is.
Yelina:i missed doing this. going out to dinner
H:me too.
*they walk along the beach and they kiss*

Calleigh:it's just i don't want another repeat of Speed.
Ryan:but you know that I'm OCD and i keep everything clean.
Calleigh:i know that...i just mean i don't want you to get killed. I don't want to have to explain to our three kids why their dad isn't coming home.
Ryan:i can't promise that i won't get hurt...because you know that it's always a possiblility but i can promise i will be careful. *he kisses her*

*meanwhile Eric and Natalia are with Alexx in the mourge*
Natalia:so you're sure it was the gunshot wound and not the crash?
Alexx:positive
Eric:so that means that Jeff didn't kill or vic like he thought he did...
Natalia:but he's still going to jail for shooting him.
Eric:alright lets go find out who did run over our vic...
Natalia:back to the crime scene?
Eric:yep...back to the crime scene...oh and thank you Alexx
Alexx:no problem baby.

*meanwhile...*
H:you ready Ryan?
Ryan:yep
H:eek:k lets go.
*they go inside*
*H begins to ask questions*
H:now Mr. Ramirez...i'm only gonna ask this once....where is she?
Mr. Ramierez:who?
H:don't play with me Ramon...
Ramon:yeah well that wasn't playing with you....this is!!! *and gun men start shooting*
H:RYAN!!!!
*Ryan shoots one of the men but the other is too quick and Ryan is shot in the chest*
*H stand there in shock as a flashback of Speed's death plays in his head. and then he shoots down the two remianing guys*
*then her looks at the all to farmiliar scene and runs to Ryan's aid as he calls an ambluance*
H:*on the walkie talkie* this is Horatio Caine i need an amblunace to Surfside Auto shop on Flagler now!! i've got an officer down!!! i repeat officer down!!!!! *to himslef* No...not again.....*to Ryan* Ryan....hold on. keep breathing....
Ryan:*coughs up blood* H.....i'm...sorry.....
H:no...you don't have to apologize to me..this is not your falut...
Ryan:H...tell..Cal...tell her.....i....love her....and the...*coughs up blood* kids....
H:you know what? you can tell them yourself in a few hours....just hold on buddy.....hold on..*he wipes blood from Ryan's mouth as Ryan spasms* Ryan!?....Ryan!....*he listens for a heart beat.....* Ryan.......*bows his head*

hey, who says he dead? Eric flatlined at the scene and they brought him back...so don't go jumping to conclusions just yet ;) he might be dead...he might not be.....you'll just have to wait and see.....





*Sirens wail as H rides in the ambulance with Ryan*
*All he can do is watch as the paramedics try to revive him on the way to the ER*

*They arrive at the ER*
Doctor:Ok lets move it!!!!! we need to get a pulse!!!!
*They rush Ryan in as H stands outside the ER watching through the glass* *H diecides to call Calleigh and the team*
H:*on the phone* Calleigh......
Calleigh:eek:h my god Horatio...is Ryan ok?
H:He's uh....
Calleigh:He's what Horatio!?!?
H:Ryan has been shot. The doctors are trying to get his heart beat back but so far...nothing.
Calleigh:*crying* Oh my god...I'm on my way....
H:and Calleigh.....tell the team...they need to know.
Calleigh:*crying* o-o-ok Horatio......

*he hangs up and watches in horor as he sees the doctors working on Ryan...They rip his shirt off and give him chest compressions and they try get a pulse....*

Doctor #2:he's been down too long just call it....
Doctor#1: ok...time of death....*she looks at H* No!! we've got to keep trying!! he's got a wife and three kids for god's sake!! give me and amp if intracardiac epi!!!!!!!
*she jabs the needle into Ryan's heart....they get a faint and rickety pulse....Ryan is alive*

*Calleigh and the team burst into the waiting room where they run up to H*

Calleigh:*sobbing* H-Horatio i-is h-he o-ok?
H:well they managed to get a pulse...i'm just waiting to see what they say....
Eric:i feel awful....i've only just found out not to long ago that Ryan, my best friend is my brother and now i might lose him.....
H:now don't over react!!
Alexx:Over-over react!? Horatio, my poor baby was just shot!!! and you tell us to not over react!?

*the doctor came out*

H:how is he doctor?
Doctor:well the bullet penetrated his lung and loged into his back muscle tissue. It caused his lung to collapse...we fixed it and cleaned him up. also there may be some brain damage.
Calleigh:b-b-brain damage!?
Doctor:yes...he was deprived of oxygen for quite soem time....he may not be the same...
Calleigh:can we see him now?
Doctor:yes...but he's unconsious...we're not sure when he'll wake up...
H:thank you doctor....
Calleigh:why don't you all go first...i don't think i could handke it just yet.....

*H walked into Ryan's room*
H:Ry...buddy....I'm so sorry. this is all my fault....
*H bowed his head and walked out*

*Eric went next*
Eric:Ry....man, we had our differences. but when i foud out you were my brother....all of that just seemed to go away. you're the best brother and best friend i've ever had.....

*Eric walks out and Natalia walks in*
Natalia:eek:h Ryan....how could this happen to someone as sweet as you? and i know we've had our differences but I never had an in law as sweet and caring as you and I'm just gonna forget everything we've ever had our differences about because that doesn't matter anymore.....

*she leaves and Yelina comes in*
Yelina:Ryan...you are one of the most sweet and caring guys i have ever met. and i really hope you get through this because if we lose you then we lose a part of our family.....

*then Alexx....*
Alexx:*crying* oh baby...my poor baby *she holds his hand*....who would want to do this to you? please fight...for me....for the team...but most of all fight for calleigh and the kids....they need you....*she kissed his forhead and walked out as Calleigh walked in*

Calleigh:eek:h babe!! *crying* *she holds his hand as he lies ther unconsious* i can't believe this happened.....just hold on babe....please hold on.....if i lose you i wouldn't be able to live......so please....i need you...and i love you.....just fight ok? *she just continued to cry*
