It is getting into the early hours of the morning. Just before sun rise. A long dark alley way. There are police cars blocking off both ends of the alley way with the police officers standing next to the crime scene tape. Both the police cars flashing lights are shedding little light on the crime scene.
However one of the police cars has it's head lights on. The light they give off shows the body of a young man laying on his back.
As one officer at the far end of the alley lifts the crime scene tape Amber steps under it closely followed by Jean and the Bruce.
As they begin to head down they see Dectective Karrie Symonds standing next to the body flicking through her pad as she glances down at the body.
Amber walks over to Karrie as Bruce straight away heads over to the body and crouches down he pults his silver case down and opens it pulling out a pair of latex gloves. He slips them on as Jean places her kit down on the other side of the body. She takes out a pen light and begins shinning it round the body.
AMBER: So what have we got here?
KARRIE: Hinde Amad. 21. Lives in downtown L.A. Shot dead in a dank back alley.
AMBER: Any witnesses?
KARRIE: Well two witnesses reported hearing two to three loud bangs. As they ran into the alleyway they spotted a dark figure running out the other end of the alley way. They both gave chase but lost the suspect two blocks from here when he jumped into a car and took off.
JEAN: They chased an armed suspect two blocks? Where they crazy?
KARRIE: They were two young jocks. Thinking they could take care of themselves. Shame they didn't catch him. Lucky for him, shame for us.
BRUCE: Or we could have had two more dead bodies. I got a phone just out of reach of the guy's hand. Maybe he tried to call for help.
AMBER: Let me see that.
Bruce takes the phone off the floor as Amber puts on a set of latex gloves from her pocket. Bruce hands the phone over to Amber and turns back checking the chest wounds on the body. Jean flashes her pen light on the wall next to her spotting light red droplets. Jean quickly takes out a swab and wipes it in the red droplets. Then she pulls out a chemical bottle and drops two droplets onto the end of the swab as it turns bright pink she turns to the group.
JEAN: I got blood.
AMBER: I got the last called number on this phone.
JEAN: Looks like high velocity blood splatter.
AMBER: Hold on a second.
Amber takes out her phone and punches in the last called number on the cell phone into her mobile and presses call. After a few seconds of silence the phone begins to ring. After five rings it is answered.
AMBER: Hello who is this?
???????: Who is calling as i am afaid i may have some bad news.
Amber recongises the voice.
AMBER: Jessica is that you?
JESSICA: Amber what are you doing calling this phone?
AMBER: Who's phone has this called?
JESSICA: Oh i am so sorry when you left i forgot to give you the F.B.I officers phone.
AMBER: And this is the phone i just called you on?
JESSICA: Yeah how crazy is that.
AMBER: Jessica send that phone down to Joseph in the lab now and don't mention this to anyone apart from him. Got it?
JESSICA: You can count on me.
Amber shuts her phone over and looks back over at Karrie, Bruce and Jean smiling.
AMBER: This case is connected to the F.B.I agent's death and we have jurisdiction over the F.B.I. So we need to find out where Hinde lived.
KARRIE: I'm on it.
AMBER: Right this is our crime scene. Bruce you take the body. Jean you work the alley way. I am going back over to check the F.B.I agent's case again.
Karrie heads off down the alley way towards one of the police cars with Amber right next to her. Bruce continues to check the body as Jean begins to check the alley way floor.
