Jorja Fox

Thank you SO much for posting this interview! It is definitely the highlight of this year so far for me. I'm so thrilled about her comments concerning the Grissom/Sara relationship. Also, I'm really glad that she's against her character and Sophia hating each other.

If I had to take a guess, the "saying it's going to be okay" part was more of the way Sara was looking out for Nick during that episode, trying to ground him and remind him that this is their job and they don't often get happy endings in their job. I think she was trying to underscore that for him so that he didn't get too wrapped up in finding the girl alive and then crushed if they found out she was dead in the end.

I hope so too--I like the idea of Sara being in a position to give counsel and support to someone else.

Fox: I have checked it from time to time. I haven't checked it in a while but I do. I think the last time I wanted to check it about George's mustache actually. But I didn’t get to unfortunately.

Thanks for the great interview :) Jorja is such a smart and eloquent individual. If I hadn't loved her enough before, I love her so much more now! :D (Heh. I've always admired that brilliant woman! ;))

It's refreshing to read Jorja's insights on Sara's being there for Nick, her will-they-will-they-not relationships with Grissom and Greg, the Sara/Sofia conflict and others. The part about Eric breaking up with Sara in the papers are hilarious! :lol:

The episode 'Pirates Of The Third Reich' sounds to-die-for from Jorja's description! How I love Melinda Clarke! Oh how I love Jorja! :)
 
I wish that Ms. Fox would have explained Sara's racial blast about "lost your taste for White meat" that she made in "Nesting Dolls." That was one episoded that rubbed a good number of Asian Americans, and people married to Asian Americans THE WRONG WAY.

I personally feel the writers made a mistake in having Sara make that racial blast and that it was out of character, but I had some seriously negative feelings for the character of Sara Sidle that have only recently cooled down because of that line. I don't hold any ill will towards Ms. Fox, but an explanation would be nice.

That's really an issue to take up with the writers, though. Jorja doesn't write the episodes--she just delivers the lines they give to her character. This is true of all of the actors on the show.
 
Great interview, I love Jorja and since I live in Brazil I don't have much chance to see her or read interviews. My dream is to meet Jorja, I don't know her in person I know though that she's just amazing.

Anyway, I just keep liking Jorja more and more. And she's so chatty! :) I've always thought she'd be cool to hang out and have a beer with, and just "shoot the shit" or so to speak. And now I think so that even moreso!

That was a great interview! really explains herself well and gives me a lot of hope for the future eppys. I love the fact that she checked out this site and that she doesn't want anyone dissapointed in her...Well Jorja if you are reading this keep up the great work!

I liked that, too. It makes no sense for all the women on the show to bicker with each other. I figured Jorja wouldn't be a fan of that--she just doesn't seem like the type--so it was cool to hear that she and Marg fought against the push to make their characters at odds with each other.
