RESULTS!
Let me just say good job to everyone. This was not an easy challenge, because it forced you to use other methods of coloring, and find an alternative to textures. You've all done amazingly with the materials you were given, and you all deserve first place. Because there were some icons I especially thought were well done that didn't place, I've made two banners- one for beginners and one for advanced- as a recognition award. Well done, all of you.

Normally I wouldn't do this since she placed, but Steffi, this icon blew me away. There happened to be snow in the foreground of the screencap, and it's quite a challenge to get both the person (in the middleground) and the snow (in the foreground) in focus, without oversharpening. The coloring is gorgeous- natural, and the text is placed brilliantly. Amazing job.

I was a bit surprised this icon didn't place- the coloring was beautiful, the background given a misty look, and the lens flare (I believe that's what you used) was gorgeous. This icon, again, blew me away.
Sorry for the sucky-ness of the banners, guys. Winners, PM me if you'd like a banner, and the next challenge will be up in a day or two. Remember, I'm also busy with the Miami challenge. Thanks guys, and congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated.
