IMO it would be a shame if the plug was pulled on Miami just because of its time-slot on US TV, as a lot of people seem to be suggesting. Here in the UK, although we have to wait a while to get the latest epis, it's in a stable time-slot every week, which never gets shifted for sport or news or whatever, and as far as I know, ratings are pretty consistent.
Season 9 hasn't aired here yet (starts July) but from what I've read on TalkCSI, it picks up towards the end of the season, so maybe (just maybe!) the writers and tptb are finally listening to fans and viewers, and responding.
I'd like to see it continue for a good while yet, but if it comes to an end, it should be a natural conclusion and not just be pulled because of ratings or time-slots or whatever.
