Re: Horatio and Yelina?

Awwww I loved that scene, maybe Ray met her first - then as they became more of a couple he introduced her to Horatio.... her new huspand in about the year 2006 :D

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

As Sher mentioned, according to 'Blood Brothers', Yelina met Raymond first. I think that Yelina was probably introduced to Horatio after he had divorced. I get the feeling that maybe H's marriage didn't last that long because of his 'big secret' that we are due to find out in Season 4.

I also think that H and Yelina had feelings for each other before Ray 'died'/went undercover. This is very possibly part of H's burden of guilt. ie. he loved her even when Ray was 'alive', but obviously buried his feelings deep within himself.

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

When are they going to realise that life is too short to bury feelings, maybe Yelina comes back and gets involved in an car accident - and Horatio waits by her bedside. I dont want Yelina to be hurt - but it'll show the characters that they have to make a move, and we get to see Sofia agian... AND we get to see her and David own the screen once more :D

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

Horatio has a guilty conscience dosen't he. Everything he does, he has to think of Ray Snr first.

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

Which isn't fair - to him OR Yelina, or Ray Jnr for that matter, Horatio needs a kick up the backside... Rick wasn't enough to make him move. So there has to be something bigger and better. :D

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

I've often thought that it would have to take something 'big' to get them together. A crisis of some kind. As much as I don't want H/Y/Ray Jnr to get hurt, it may take something like that. That's if the writers decide to bring their story full circle, which ultimately I really hope they do (well, obviously! :D).

Ann Donahue seems to be talking in terms of a 'mythology' for Horatio, which has 3 phases - that's if we can take her word for this of course. The end of the first phase was Yelina, Ray and RJ flying off to Brazil. The second phase is this whole journey into Horatio's past, killing someone, ex-wife etc. The third phase could be the return of his family to Miami. That's when I'm hoping they re-address his relationship with Yelina, and I can't tell you how very much I hope she is in the picture when this show comes to it's conclusion. Wishful thinking maybe, but I don't think it can be ruled out. Yelina, afterall, is still in existence! ;)

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

I've really enjoyed reading you guys' ideas. :)

I agree Luce that it may take a 'tragedy' to get these two together...if not something in the area of tragedy. I love Yelina, Ray Jr. and H but, like you said, do not wish them harm just to get our couple together.

The crazy thing in all of this is definately Raymond reappearing because of a writers crazy whim. Does the man that Horatio got put in jail in Big Brother get set free since Raymond is alive? Or does he stay because Horatio doesn't want to hint that Raymond is alive to the people who 'may be watching'. So many questions.

Are the writers going to kill Raymond off again? I can see it now Yelina saying," Raymond's dead, Horatio." and Horatio replying, " Are you sure?"

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

I may be misinterpreting you here, but Raymond's 'killer' (Bob Keaton) got killed himself in 'Vengeance'.

I too think it was a big mistake to bring Raymond back alive. When I first heard the spoilers for that, I couldn't believe it. Dumb idea - even people who are anti-H/Y were very unimpressed with it. I liked the way Ray being dead, and the nature of his death, brought out a real vulnerabilty in H. He was touched by something very tragic and devastating, and his life would forever be effected by it. *sigh* This obviously wasn't enough for Donahue and co.

 I can picture it now!

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

i don't think it would work between yelina and horatio. they make good friends but as a couple thy'd just get on each others nerves

Re: Horatio and Yelina?

As H would say, "Good job!". I liked it too - especially the part where he wipes away her tear. :(
