Re: Horatio and Yelina?
there a few things I dont understand about H/Y Why did Yelina date Stetler when she loves Horatio - and why did he date Rebecca ( or what ever her name was)
In 'Money For Nothing', Yelina sees H with Madison (who is Ray's daughter - we discovered that in 'Big Brother'). Y jumps to the conclusion that she is Horatio's daughter (unconvincing writing, imo!) and H allows her to believe this so as to protect her from further heartache, after all that she's been through with Ray. Y tells H in 'The Oath' that the fact that he didn't tell her he had a daughter makes it difficult for her to trust him. Y decides to date Rick as he's less 'complicated'. Even before this, Y gave the impression that she would like to possibly pursue a relationship with H ('Grave Young Men', 'Body Count', 'Blood Brothers', 'Hurricane Anthony' - all subtle stuff). H had always held back (misguided guilt, loyalty to Ray) and Y got tired of waiting for H. As she says in 'Blood Brothers', "I suppose I'm going to have to accept things - for now". She's still hopeful!
As for Rebecca, I quess H is human afterall - he is a man with needs, they were attracted to one another!
Just when we all started to think he was a monk! Yelina was off-limits as she was with Rick, and H still has the self-imposed guilt burden thing hanging over him when it comes to Y. Also, in Season 3, H divulges his quilt over Speed's death to Rebecca in a tender moment ('After the Fall'), thus allowing the viewers to see his human side again. Their relationship didn't last long, once she 'cut a deal' with a cop killer in, um, 'Cop Killer'!
Now Y is in Brazil with husband Ray, H is bound to land another 'love interest' in Season 4. We all know his heart belongs to Yelina though.
Crikey, that was long-winded! I did warn you it was complicated! Have I sent you all to sleep?
