Yeah I agree with you Luna sometimes they try too hard to sell us couples which have no chemistry at all. Even Miami itself. Dare I mention she-who-should-not-be-named and H? Yuck!

One has to be blind not to notice the chemistry between H and Y. Let's hope tptb capitalise on their talent and chemistry soon.

Still no promo pics for s6?

Oh, I think you wrote the last name of someone else :) :p
Actriss last name is Norris.

At least we have the books. Have you read any of them? I'm looking foreward to reading book 5, 'Beneath the Bleeding' on my holiday.
I have to admit I'm a little bit in love with Tony... He's so funny, in that warm, sweet way. *sigh*

I didn't know about the books...I don't get them here I don't even get the dvd's :(
HBO showed it here and I taped it! :)

Tony...he's a little lost sometimes but he's still cute. Plus, I found him (Robson) very atractive! I specially love his eyes!

As this was entirely OT here's a gift :D

Lol, yes I did. I guess I'm still in Harry Potter mode.

Patricia said:I didn't know about the books...

Well the show is based on Val McDermids novels. The first two episodes follow the first two books. We get a bit more Carol/Tony in the following books. :D (You can buy them on the web). Do you know this web-page? Note that the world premiere was in... DENMARK! Woohooo! Do we have great taste, or what!? ;)

Okay I'll try to stay OT now.

Exactly! It's like, how can we believe that there's love where there's as much chemistry between the actors as between a horse and a wet, dead herring?

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

Hi again for a moment! Lots of talk here, but still no promo pics!?! I was hoping to see something special after missing a few days. :( There are lots of things I want to respond to here, so bear with me while I just shoot them off one by one. . .Katpin, LOVE your banner. . .its gorgeous! :p Welcome to all the new ones here - lots of people hoping for good things in the new season! :) Luna, congrats on your new job; hope you are liking it. :) Patricia, hope you had a great birthday. :D As far as new thread titles, there have been some good suggestions. 'Love Actually' is nice, altho' (misplaced my magic specs in the move ) perhaps it should be 'Love Maybe.' I don't like the one about H always being there for her, because HE ISN'T! (yes, its still me.) Hrockz I hope I can find your fic without a link; I'm not very good at navigating around in here. Couldn't find the Yelina/Sofia thread til Pusher sent me the link. Lucy, I was thinking about something you said about the PTB backing off H/Y, and I wonder whether it was because the whole H/Y story took on a life of its own and gathered steam a lot faster than they planned for it to. There was so much chemistry there; so much power in the smallest scenes, maybe they weren't ready for it to move that fast and it caught them off guard. What do you think? Pusher, can't see your vid here at the library, but am looking forward to it when I get home (and the computer does, too!). :) I still think about that song 'She', and wonder whether H is staying away from Y for so long because he knows he can't fight the feeling any longer, and he doesn't want the "complications" (his word) that would go with seeing her again. Maybe???? Still hot there Pusher? It finally quit raining here, and feeling like it might be November instead of August. But today is sunny and nice.

Drgnldy nice to see u pop in here time to time. ;) I already give up to wait for S 6 promo pics. *sigh* But even without them we are still on full roll. hehhe This chemistry just never can be too much ... but the sad part is that maybe TPTB just stick with creative ideas what to do next and just excuse theirs self with 'try to change some things in Miami'. No thanks. It`s so hard to make such great story line and such big shame to throw it away so easily. Of course this is only my point of view. Believe me I still don`t got it why this happen in ours tv-show, but seeing S4 and S5 maybe Yelina absence is for good. Anyhow it`s good to know that at last in UK have some sunshine. ;) Hope ur preparing to return home go well and to see u again soon. :)

I NEED PROMO PICS! Is somebody hiding the promo pics? Maybe the task force could do something? :p

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

Florry, if you're out there, there is another Italian article on Sofia's website that needs translating! I think only part of it is about her, so it might not be much. I would have requested it in the Yelina/Sofia thread, but I can't find that thread without my desktop shortcut - guess I don't know what category to look under.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

In lack off promo pics I think we're in a big need of some HY happiness so I'm posting a new H/Y banner!

That's an interesting point. I see what you are saying in that the attraction and feelings between them were so apparent and powerful, that maybe the writers didn't quite know where to take it. However, to me, that still indicates an alarming lack of originality and creativity.

You would think that any decent writer would bite your hand off at the opportunity to write for these two, considering the magnificent screen chemistry they share. Instead, it's almost as if tptb just ran out of ideas.

I think that sending Yelina off to Brazil with Ray and Ray Jnr was actually quite an interesting development. The real problem for me was the length of time Yelina remained off the show. The writers could so easily have involved her again sooner. By the time Sofia was available again, tptb decided to kill Ray off immediately (very bizarre decision) so we didn't even get any real emotional closure on that score. I would have loved to have seen more interaction between Ray, Horatio and Yelina. There was so much potential here character development wise - and also the opportunity to learn more about their backstory.

It was as if the writers couldn't wait to get rid of the Ray storyarc, instead of dealing with it properly. Instead, we got the woefully superficial Season 4 and in terms of writing quality, Season 5 really wasn't much better.

I appreciate that it depends on what we look for in a TV show. The main appeal for me is stimulating and inspirational character development; not posing, explosions, terrible one-liners and pretty colours. These aspects have their place (and I do like some level of escapism up to a point) and in the first 3 seasons, Miami combined both very well.

Very nice banners Kit and katpin. Thanks also for the lovely pictures mrsjrewing. :)

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

Hey guys….I’m here
I’ve translated the interview…Sofia Milos’ part :D…..If you want me to translate also Gary Dourdan’s part….don’t worry….I’ll do it
I think this interview would be more suitable in Sofia’s thread…I don’t know

SEXY C.S.I
The most beautiful faces from CSI

He (Gary Dourdan) jokes with dead people, she (Sofia Milos) feels half Italian.
Also because of this she says to Muccino : “I’m ready, will you call me?”

Who thought to recognize her, while she was ordering a plate of “lasagne” in a roman restaurant, maybe said it was because of the heat. Because it’s impossible to imagine her…Sofia Milos – Detective Yelina Salas from CSI: Miami – speaking perfectly Italian and eating something right down your house. But it’s true.
« I was born in Switzerland, my mother is Greek and my father was from Potenza (it’s south Italy)» Sofia says, who lives in L.A. although her mother lives in Rome.
Q: «Do you feel Italian? »
A: «I do. Very much. I love the passion of this country, the fashion, the ancient boulevards, I love “la mozzarella” (it’s our typical cheese, the one we use making pizza, it’s from buffalo’s milk). I also love cooking “lasagne”, I think they are a kind of work of art. »
Q: «So, why do you live in Los Angeles? »
A: «Because it gives the same opportunities to the women as to the men. U.S.A are a comfortable country, if you’re talented, you work hard, U.S.A. repay you. In Italy it isn’t the same thing. »
Q: «Are you famous more in Italy or in the U.S.A? »
A:«During the weddings of Giuseppe Pancaro (he’s an Italian soccer player) I was stopped by two fans who tried to explain me, speaking in English, that they hadn’t lost any episode of CSI. When I answered in Italian, they were with their mouths hanging on opened. »
Q:« What do you like about your character ? »
A: « Yelina Salas represents the typical mother without husband, a very extended trend in the U.S.A. A woman able to work and to take care of her child without loosing her femininity. »
Q: « Are you like her? »
A: « I’m independent and I think women can do everything without help in every situation. They can choose a man to live their lives with, but they don’t need a man to be happy. Maybe also to have a child. »
Q: « Do you think you will do everything alone? »
A: « I’ve a boyfriend and I would prefer to have a child with him. I believe in marriage, but during the life there a lot of kinds of family. »
Q: « Where do you think you will grow up your children? »
A: « My boyfriend is Italian and he comes in the U.S.A. every two weeks. We both love Tuscany and we don’t exclude the idea to go there, one day. Our children are going to have 2 passpotrs. »
Q: « Have you got any project? Maybe an Italian movie. »
A: « Now I’m very busy in the U.S.A. There are the new episodes of CSI:Miami and I’m going to participate on a new drama “The border” . I will be a security agents fighting against smuggling, terrorism and immigration. But if they offered me a nice role in Italy……»
Q: «Which director would you like to work with? »
A: «I like Gabriele Salvatores. But also Gabriele Muccino: we first met 8 years ago during my birthday in Capalbio and we joked about the opportunity to make a movie together. Now it could be the right moment. »
Q: « What kind of character would you like to play? »
A: « A strong Italian woman, with Mediterranean humour sense. An independent character. »
Q: «Did you propose it to Muccino? »
A: «I’m doing it now: Gabriele, what do you think about it? »

Gabriele Muccino is one of the most famous Italian director in this moment :D
He directed also Will Smith on his last movie (the one with the little child)…..I don’t know the original title :( but in Italy it was “Alla ricerca della felicità” - ”Looking for the happiness”

here's a pic of H/Y :D
I think it's the best one :D
