Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot
Hey guys….I’m here
I’ve translated the interview…Sofia Milos’ part
…..If you want me to translate also Gary Dourdan’s part….don’t worry….I’ll do it
I think this interview would be more suitable in Sofia’s thread…I don’t know
SEXY C.S.I
The most beautiful faces from CSI
He (Gary Dourdan) jokes with dead people, she (Sofia Milos) feels half Italian.
Also because of this she says to Muccino : “I’m ready, will you call me?”
Who thought to recognize her, while she was ordering a plate of “lasagne” in a roman restaurant, maybe said it was because of the heat. Because it’s impossible to imagine her…Sofia Milos – Detective Yelina Salas from CSI: Miami – speaking perfectly Italian and eating something right down your house. But it’s true.
« I was born in Switzerland, my mother is Greek and my father was from Potenza (it’s south Italy)» Sofia says, who lives in L.A. although her mother lives in Rome.
Q: «Do you feel Italian? »
A: «I do. Very much. I love the passion of this country, the fashion, the ancient boulevards, I love “la mozzarella” (it’s our typical cheese, the one we use making pizza, it’s from buffalo’s milk). I also love cooking “lasagne”, I think they are a kind of work of art. »
Q: «So, why do you live in Los Angeles? »
A: «Because it gives the same opportunities to the women as to the men. U.S.A are a comfortable country, if you’re talented, you work hard, U.S.A. repay you. In Italy it isn’t the same thing. »
Q: «Are you famous more in Italy or in the U.S.A? »
A:«During the weddings of Giuseppe Pancaro (he’s an Italian soccer player) I was stopped by two fans who tried to explain me, speaking in English, that they hadn’t lost any episode of CSI. When I answered in Italian, they were with their mouths hanging on opened. »
Q:« What do you like about your character ? »
A: « Yelina Salas represents the typical mother without husband, a very extended trend in the U.S.A. A woman able to work and to take care of her child without loosing her femininity. »
Q: « Are you like her? »
A: « I’m independent and I think women can do everything without help in every situation. They can choose a man to live their lives with, but they don’t need a man to be happy. Maybe also to have a child. »
Q: « Do you think you will do everything alone? »
A: « I’ve a boyfriend and I would prefer to have a child with him. I believe in marriage, but during the life there a lot of kinds of family. »
Q: « Where do you think you will grow up your children? »
A: « My boyfriend is Italian and he comes in the U.S.A. every two weeks. We both love Tuscany and we don’t exclude the idea to go there, one day. Our children are going to have 2 passpotrs. »
Q: « Have you got any project? Maybe an Italian movie. »
A: « Now I’m very busy in the U.S.A. There are the new episodes of CSI:Miami and I’m going to participate on a new drama “The border” . I will be a security agents fighting against smuggling, terrorism and immigration. But if they offered me a nice role in Italy……»
Q: «Which director would you like to work with? »
A: «I like Gabriele Salvatores. But also Gabriele Muccino: we first met 8 years ago during my birthday in Capalbio and we joked about the opportunity to make a movie together. Now it could be the right moment. »
Q: « What kind of character would you like to play? »
A: « A strong Italian woman, with Mediterranean humour sense. An independent character. »
Q: «Did you propose it to Muccino? »
A: «I’m doing it now: Gabriele, what do you think about it? »
Gabriele Muccino is one of the most famous Italian director in this moment
He directed also Will Smith on his last movie (the one with the little child)…..I don’t know the original title
but in Italy it was “Alla ricerca della felicità” - ”Looking for the happiness”
here's a pic of H/Y
I think it's the best one
