That's a lovely avatar you got Patricia. And welcome mrsjrewing.

Found another article with a review of CSIM in a Singapore newspaper. It makes some of the same comments we do, but yet seems to like the show! Kind of fun to read.
Really? That's where I'm from but I never read it. Actually, The New Paper's more like our version of a tabloid, so I don't get to read it, cos I only buy our regular paper, which didn't have a review of Miami.

Yeah that ending of 'Pro Per' was really sad, and Y was having trouble trying to tell H she didn't need him there that night, then Stetler emerges from her door. Poor H was like trying to hide his disappointment. You know we never get to see what H does after something like that. Like most guys maybe they go for a drink, I hardly envision H doing that, maybe he goes for a walk by the beach. Or maybe he just goes to the highest building he can find and poses around with his hands on his hips thing  But, jokes aside, it's always great to see human H.

Thank ya'll. I am gonna go watch some of my favorite H episodes while my hubby watches some football stuff.

At the end of 'Pro Per', I've always had this scenario in my head that Frank asks H to join him for a drink. Frank is more than aware of H's feelings for Yelina, and you could see how he really understood how much of an effect Stetler's presence had on H and how this would hurt him. He was no longer needed as Yelina's 'protector'.

I think it was at the end of Season 2's 'Bait' where H joins Frank in a bar after it's revealed that Frank's marriage is none too stable. H was there for his friend then, and I'm sure Frank would be there for H. Infact, Frank is one of the characters I still really like, as he is genuine, human, brilliantly sarcastic and believable.

Thanx! :D

I saw "Under Suspicion" yesterday, I’ve seen it before but I didn't remember it well.
In one scene Calliegh says "the first one since Yelina" (I'm sure you well know that quote)...
What is that suppose to mean??
Ok, she may have known that H had feelings for Y but she says that like something actually happened between them...I dunno...I heard it and somehow it really got in my nerves.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

Well Calleigh obviously knows Horatio cared a lot about Yelina. I don't think she's means it like anything happened between those 2 though.

Have you read the csi miami books? In one of them it actually states that H/Y have been dating prior to her getting married to Ray Sr. But as you know, different writers so I don't think that show wise anything has ever happened between Horatio / Yelina.

The writers should really explore that cause there are a lot who think something happened and a lot who don't. I like to think nothing happened. Why? It would raise the question, what happened between them? + I prefer to think that they're both still in unknown waters with each other. It's the romantic in me, I can't help it..

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

I agree, I don't see how anything could have happened between them, altho' in today's world tap dancing for that long without any real action (I don't believe they've even kissed) is pretty strange.

What would H do after that Pro Per night? Go home alone and say "F..." because things hadn't gone according to his agenda. (Its always his agenda - that's the only way to explain how Y can be the one he's trying to protect one day, and the one he's tossing away as collateral damage another day.) I don't know that he'd talk to Frank, because I don't think he confides much in anyone else. Except that he seems to have the bad habit of talking to one woman about another. I think that's why Rebecca took a dislike to Yelina.

Nice to see so much action on a weekend - its usually pretty quiet those days.

Yes, welcome to you, mrsjrewing. Seems the closer we get to the new season, the more new people we get on this thread. Good to know there are so many H/Y supporters.

I like Frank too, he very sarcasticallly funny. I do agree that I think H and Frank are good friends.

I think the whole lab knew that H cared deeply for Y. You'd have to be pretty blind not to notice. But I don't think Calleigh was implying anything happened between H/ before.

I still believe that H only met Y after she met Ray Sr. But the books are different.

I like Frank, too; he's a fun character. But I was angry when they decided he was the only detective they needed on the show. Frank sort of grows on you, doesn't he?

Yes, as you pointed out a quid pro quo for whan H was there for him in "Bait". Guess H was still on duty as he ordered coffee, I think whilst Frank was working on his scotch. In "Pro Per", it is pretty clear from Frank's expression that he knows that there's something in the air for H and Y.

BTW, that was a great scene from "Pro Per" just after Y's house was shot up in the drive by. Poor H, totally flattened when our dear Rick came out of Y's house, all Papa Bear-like with RJ.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

^ Exactly. I have this habit of linking what has gone before with what might happen off-screen. Even if H is not prone to opening up to anyone, I can just imagine him sitting quietly with Frank. I doubt much was said between them in the scene in 'Bait', but there was a touchingly unspoken sense of mutual understanding and concern.

'Papa Bear-like' indeed. Aw, poor H. :( That scene was perfectly executed.

I have just realized something interesting. Steve Maeda was both writer/producer on Bait and Pro Per. I cannot even begin to emphasize just how much Miami misses him. It's no coincidence that the standard of writing dropped so dramatically after his departure at the end of Season 3.

Calleigh was answering Ryan's question:

Ryan: So Horatio really cared about this woman?
Calleigh: The first one since Yelina.

I rather liked that comment. Season 4 was so bleak, it was good to hear a character add a little sense of continuity. :)

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

I said it once before, and I'll say it again. We need to get Hrockz into tptb of CSI Miami! NOW!

God I remember the first time I saw Pro Per and that scene. My stomach did a backflip.. I really didn't feel to good when I saw that. Poor Horatio. But now I can luckily watch it without feeling bad.. Probably because now I know the Y/S "happyness" doesn't last long..

What I do like about the scene is that Yelina tried to hide the fact that Stetler was there. Even though she was together with Stetler, she still cared a lot about Horatio's feelings. I don't know if she dated Stetler to get onto Horatio's nerves. Probably not, she's not like that. But in the end of "The Oath", she had already forgiven Horatio for the whole Madison deal. I mean the looks she gave him ... but she also thought of the fact that she's been waiting so long for Horatio to make a move, or to reply on the moves that she makes (Hello episode Big Brother anyone? The kiss?!) that she just decided to try something with Stetler since he was certainly into her. She even explained it to Horatio, that they were too complicated and that Stetler was simple. She looked a bit sad when that scene was done, I think she expected another reply from Horatio other than "I understand." O well "hope springs eternal", right?!

So Say We All! Aye, without Steven M, there continues to be a progressive downward spiral into Stygian depths. No two ways about it at all.

Hmm, I wonder if Steven M ever imagined the extent of which it would all go to hell in a hand basket after he left the series? Wonder if he did a specific "I Told You So..." jig when viewing the post-Steven M eps?

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

^ I reckon he must have seen the writing on the wall to some extent. Maybe he felt the winds of change in the air and he didn't like what was in store. Based on what we know now, who could really blame him. I imagine that the opportunity to work on 'Lost' came along and he jumped at the chance. Miami's loss, no doubt about that. How I would love someone of Maeda's calibre to step up and try to improve the show. NY and LV have good writers, so why not Miami?

I thought Horatio made himself the designated driver and that was why he ordered coffee. Maybe he knew Frank might get drunk and did not want him drinking and driving.

That makes more sense; she's talking about caring, not about dating. I watched it in spanish and that wasn't exactly how they translate it...

Now, time for some gifts :D
I already posted them in the avatar thread but this belongs here too. My very first avatars, I started on Friday and now I can't stop...
