Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

The name is a song?

Oh, look at that smile on Yelina's face. So wonderful and how random was that comment! Well forget it :D.

Pusher, well it's okay if the fic isn't your. What matters is the readers enjoy it and apparently, many do! :). Oh and thanks to Sherry too ;).

Ah Luce thanks for capping my quote, that is exactly the sheepish look i was referring to!

I love that scene in 'Grave Young Men' too, very natural family conversation, and the way Yelina knows that H will be able to get through to the boy, like his Daddy could have done if he was there!
You're welcome Liz and yes that scene is very natural and heartwarming. I love it when Yelina says to H,

"We brought you some lunch, but someone here (indicating Ray) ate your fries!"

I really miss those scenes. No Yelina = no Ray Jnr also, which is a great loss to the show for me. H seems incomplete without them, and Suzie and Madison too. It's almost like a whole new show. *sigh*

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

Watching the show, this season, is rather depressing sometimes even if it happens to be a good episode. Knowing that s4 lacks the spice that Yelina brung to the show, and the other side of Horatio she brought out. :(

The song Hummer is referring to. If you guys have seen the movie 'Goodbye Girl' with Dreyfuss (or the remake with Jeff Daniels) you've heard this song. It is originally sung by David Gates but is also sung by Hootie & the Blowfish.

The lyrics:

All your life you've waited for love to
come and stay
And now that I have found you, you must
not slip away
I know it's hard believin' the words you've
heard before
But darlin' you must trust them just once
more...
'cause baby
Goodbye doesn't mean forever
Let me tell you goodbye doesn't mean
we'll never be together again
If you wake up and I'm not there,
I won't
be long away
'Cause the things you do my Goodbye Girl
Will bring me back to you.

I know you've been taken, afraid to hurt
again
You fight the love you feel for me instead
of givin' in
But I can wait forever, a-helpin' you to see
That I was meant for you and you for me
...so remember

Goodbye doesn't mean forever
Let me tell you goodbye doesn't mean
we'll never be together again
Though we may be so far apart you still
will have my heart
So forget your past my Goodbye Girl
'Cause now you're home at last.

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

Ohh...Okay. That sounds like a great song. *goes in search of the song somewhere...*

Wow, I'm really glad this thread is coming to a close. This proves that our faith in Horatio and Yelina is strong and unbreakable despite Y being gone. Yay for Hoyay! :D

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

Thanks for those lyrics HnM. :)

Our faith in them is strong for sure Casper. Our faith in the writers, however, is somewhat non-existent. The hope will never fade, so we'll hold onto that until the show comes to an end. ;)

Moving onto 'Grave Young Men', here's a little taste of things to come.... :D

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

Aw, love that pic. H looks at only her that way. Love that.

Thanks for the lyrics HoratioAndMe :). I couldn't place exactly who had sung that.
Off topic, but didn't Dreyfuss win an oscar for 'Goodbye Girl'?

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

more 4 post and we move to new one therad :)

i have read this names here Suzie Yelina Raymond Horatio
and miss them all with the drama or witty quotes they have make in the show

Horatio To Suzie
"Really, you're fine? I don't think you understand something here- she is my flesh and blood and she will not remain in this situation another second."
"A Riviet Runs Through It"
"Paging Dr. Wellmont"
"Poised To See Paradise"
"Lights Out My Friend"
"Fonte Is a Liar. I Just Don't Know What The Lie Is?"

Yelina: Raymond.
Horatio: What about him?
Yelina: Well, whenever he didn't want to tell me something, he couldn't make eye contact either- so, what is going on?
Yelina: Horatio- there was a suspect at PD all afternoon and every time I went near the holding area, everybody seemed to hold their breath.
Horatio: Well, it looks like the suspect Bob and his wife knew Raymond-
Yelina: And?
Horatio: And ahmm... well, ah, Yelina -
Yelina: Please. Don't try to sugar cote it. I know what Raymond was doing, okay?

Eric: 'kay, I'll have Yelina bring him in-
Horatio: No need. There will be a VIP party at the Manor and Oriental this afternoon, where they will be and so will I
Yelina: I think you have an admirerer.
Horatio: Duty calls.

Horatio: Viper, torch red, nice.
Suspect: You know what they say, you are what you drive.
Yelina: Mmm. I was thinking the same thing.

Horatio: Get anything?
Yelina: Always do. They're like cockroaches. Fifteen in a ten mile radius.
Horatio: Fifteen sex-offenders in a ten mile radius, how is that possible?

[finding incriminating evidence at a crime scene]
Horatio: The killer just made his second mistake.
Yelena: What was his first?
Horatio: Murder.

and this is the pic :)

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

Great quotes and a very nice picture. I don't think I've seen that one before. :)

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

You're welcome, Hummer and Dreyfuss did win an Oscar for best actor for his portrayal in that film. :)

Love the quotes. I think the writer's wrote their lines wonderfully. It suits their acting style and goes nicely with that yummy chemistry. As for the pic, I think I've only seen it once: in an icon but never the full-size. I just love the closeness in it. Thanks, Pusher. :D

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

Thanks for the info, HAM. :D

*blows kisses* bye-bye thread no. 2. Hope Yelina will be back by the end of the next thread. :)

Re: Goodbye doesn't mean forever

I'm sure we're all with you on that one Hummer! :D

Bye bye thread #2. Thanks for the therapy! :)
