Hill Harper To Participate In Live CSI Files Chat

CSI: New York star <font color=yellow>Hill Harper</font> (Sheldon Hawkes) will be participating in a live chat with CSI Files visitors on Tuesday the 7th of March, at 7:00pm Eastern Time (4:00pm Pacific Time).

Hill Harper is an accomplished film, television and stage actor, whose credits besides CSI: New York include roles in the film Get on the Bus, the television series City of Angels and the HBO film Lackwanna Blues. Mr. Harper has graciously agreed to participate in a CSI Files live chat to answer fan questions about upcoming episodes of CSI: New York, his character, and everything else you might want to know! The chat will be taking place this Tuesday in our special chat room, which can be reached through both a web interface and an IRC client. For most of the time, the chat will be moderated, meaning that only messages typed by Harper himself and the CSI Files moderators will appear, but you will be able to ask questions by sending them to these moderators.

If you're unable to attend the chat, you can already send us questions in advance. In order to do so, head over to this thread in the CSI Files News Items forum of Talk CSI. We will make a selection from these questions and ask the best ones to Mr. Cahill himself! So head over to our forums and post your questions -- you will need to have a Talk CSI user account, but if you haven't yet got one, now would be the perfect time to register! A full transcript of the questions and answers will be posted on CSI Files shortly after the chat.

This will be the fourth CSI Files chat. 1. In which way are you and your portrayal of Sheldon Hakwes similar and in which ways are you different?

2. Would you be friends with a guy like your character in real life?

3. Do you or any of the cast members read the boards? If so, what are your opinions of the topics and posts?

PS: Can you tell Melina Kanakarades that she's my favourite actress and also that she's the coolest Greek actor ever, this coming from a fellow Greek.

Hill, I first noticed you as an actor in the movie "The Skulls", which you did a great job in and I've been a fan our yours ever since! What was is like to work with such a talented and diverse cast with William Petersen, Joshua Jackson, Paul Walker, Craig T. Nelson and a bunch more?

My question for Hill -

You mentioned a similarity between your character Hawkes and Gil Grissom. So does that mean you watch the other CSI shows besides NY? If so, what do you think of them? :)

Have you ever watched yourself preform? If so, do you critique your preformance?

There's a typo in the 3rd column. You wrote Mr. Cahill instead of Mr. Harper. ;)

This is really cool! I'll try to be there. :) If I can't make it, here's my question:

"Hi Hill! I'm a hungarian girl, who's a fan of the CSI:NY show. I heard there was a scene in the last aired episode in the US, where you watched Carmine eat a centipede or whatever. :) Tell me it was only raw paste he ate! :D Also was it more gross or funny to shoot that scene? Bye, Tery"
 
I'll definitely be here for the chat, but have proven myself too retarded to figure out how to ask questions during the chat in the past, so I'll go ahead and post some early.

This is a long list of questions. Just want to throw out plenty of options for our beloved mods. :D

Here goes:

1. As an attorney myself, any man with a Harvard law degree who chooses not to practice certainly has my attention and respect. Has there ever been a time when you questioned your decision to pursue acting instead? Were you ever a starving artist going, “Damn, I could have started at $150,000/yr at any firm in the country”?

2. I seem to recall hearing that you spent last hiatus penning an inspirational book for young black men, but I can’t find any indication it has been published. What is the status of that project?

3. What are your plans for your upcoming hiatus?

4. What do you find most challenging about your role as Dr. Sheldon Hawkes?

5. Are you satisfied with the level of character development Dr. Hawkes receives?

6. Whether it is intentionally written into the show or not, viewers often perceive potential romantic connections between some of the characters on the show – Danny and Lindsey, Lindsey and Mack, or even for some, Danny and Flack. Would you like to see Dr. Hawkes get any of those shared “moments” with other characters on the show?
