Thank you so much for the feedback!!
We had some really bad storms and I wasn't able to get this chapter finished until about three seconds ago. But it's done now and I hope you all like it.

Heather finally finished brushing her hair and it had only taken ten minutes. She threw the brush back onto the sink with a sigh. She was still shocked from her actions that had taken place earlier that night.
“Mr. Grissom,” Her voice was cold, and eerily calm. “You can leave now. I’m going to sleep.”
Gil shook his head. “No. No, I can’t.” He took a step into the room, his aged face expressionless. “I can’t leave you here by yourself.”
“Yes, you can.” Heather was tired, cold and still felt sick. Why couldn’t he just leave her alone so she could go to sleep and block the evening from her mind?
“Heather, I’m not leaving.”
The brunette sat on the edge of her bed and began taking her heeled back boots off. As she had done with the hairbrush, she tossed the boots to the other side of the room. They hit the wall with a loud thud but neither flinched at the sound. Heather did however look up at Gil, sorrow filling her green eyes.
“Why won’t you leave?” She inquired, lying back on the bed. She closed her eyes to stop the tears from falling; the tears she was not yet ready to shed.
“I think you need someone. Me, perhaps.” Gil answered truthfully and he didn’t regret his question. Heather did need someone to be there for her and would for sometime. He realized he had messed things up between them the first time and was not going to let his second chance just slide past.
“Damn you, Grissom,” Heather said, loud enough so she was sure he had heard. “Then you’ll leave again and I’ll be left to deal with two things. I’m not falling for it again.”
Gil wasn’t sure how to make her see that he wasn’t going to leave her again. He’d be incredibly foolish if he ever did leave her, and he knew that. “For five minutes of your life,” He looked directly into her eyes before going on. “Stop being so stubborn and listen to me.”
Heather blinked a few times before focusing on Gil. How did he always know exactly what to say to make her listen? She couldn’t figure out and before she could ask, he began talking again.
“As I’ve told you before, I am sorry. What I said the morning after… it was an honest mistake.” He gave her a moment to think that over. “Now, whether you like it or not, I am staying here with you tonight.”
Heather didn’t respond at first. She wanted to but simply could not find the appropriate words. Gil was going to stay with her? She hadn’t expected that. But since he had said it, the brunette didn’t want to protest. She didn’t want to be alone at that moment, not after everything she had gone through the past three days.
“You don’t have to stay,” Heather whispered, closing her eyes once again.
“I know that.” Gil took the blanket from the end of the bed and covered her up with it. Then, even more surprisingly, he took her hand in his. “But I want to.”
FIN?
