Tally and I usually do this for this time of the season and I thought I would put it up now, we do wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and many blessings. I thought I would include a small poem from us to all of you.

Thanksgiving is a time
For reviewing what we treasure,
The people we hold dear,
Who give us so much pleasure.

Without you as my friend,
Life would be a bore;
Having you in my life
Is what I’m thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. And a Happy Birthday to my nephew, Christopher, who was born on Thanksgiving Day eleven years ago.

Twas the night of Thanksgiving, But I just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep
The leftovers beckoned --- The dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation......
The thought of a snack became infatuation.....
So I raced to the kitchen, Flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
Till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground !!

I crashed through the ceiling. Floating into the sky....
With a mouthfull of pudding and a handful of pie,
But I managed to yell as I sored past the trees....................

HAPPY EATING TO ALL !!
PASS THE CRANBERRIES PLEASE !!

Because I'm in Canada, I had Thanksgiving in October, but Happy TurkeyDay to everyone who is celebrating today!

This poem fits my husband to a tee. He has been known (along with his father) to eat all the leftovers in one sitting. :eek:

I thought I would take the time inbetween chopping, stuffing and baking to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. :D
 
Well who says that being in another country stops people from celebrating, imo the holiday itself is a month and day set, the meaning/idea for that holiday is an on going thing in which we should all take a minute each day and remember. I could complain and such but that one or two minutes in which I stop to remember why I am thankful tends to make the day all the better. Never stop doing this because you never know what might happen. The date is there imo to serve as a point in which we come to, to keep us honest, and at the sametimes lol a reason to have a big dinner, gather with relatives, and take off work. The meaning is there to serve as a greater reasoning of life and what we have. :)
 
Sorry I'm a little late but I hope everyone had, or is having, a good Thanksgiving!
I just sat down after sending 20 family members home from our feast.
