CSI Level One
The only reason I didn't give this ep an A+ is because I'm a complete sucker for action eps. Otherwise, this had pretty much everything: a truly engaging series of crimes (I was so with Flack when he said, "That's the craziest thing I ever heard." :lol; fantastic character interaction between everybody, where even though I thought D/L's scene was a wee bit overdone at first it actually mostly worked and seeing Danny doing a 'panic dance' because of a potentially snake had me laughing; and the little details along the way were brilliant.
Jo's multi-color post-it notes on Mac's truck dash were awesome!
Sid telling Jo about selling his patent was one of my favorite scenes. I loved how he barely knew what to do with himself at the fact he was now a multi-millionare, and Robert Joy and Sela were phenomenal in that bit. Haha, I loved too how Jo told Mac, "Don't worry, I'll get it out of him," and Mac's half-smile and shake of his head. I don't think he doubted for a second that she wouldn't be able to
I am really really liking how they're treating Mac and Christine. I think it's perfect that they're conveying an obvious connection between the two, but aren't lacing it with "they are in lurv, now kiss!" overtones like with most 'love interest' stuff they've done with pretty much everybody. And I think it's absolutely adorable how they clearly have some sort of feelings for each other, but aren't sure maybe precisely what or what to do with them. Haha, it's so cute  Plus, I simply like the fact that Mac's smile when he talks to her makes him seem capable of finally being happy after all this time. HOWEVER, I am still beyond peeved that made Christine Whitney's brother's name, 'Stan'. Of all things! Of all the myriad of guys names they could have chosen...! At best it is continuity sloppiness at it's height, and if they did it on purpose..... I have no words :shifty:
Sela was great in this ep, from the scene with Sid to the end when she connected all the individual pieces. Haha, the fact that she was the one who proved "everything is connected", wasn't lost on me, and I thought it was a very nice touch.
So yeah, I really enjoyed this ep, and it was a great way to leave the show for the next 6 weeks.
- a solid A
