Gil Grissom Goes To London

CSI Files

Captain
In season two, the Las Vegas crime lab's investigations led them all the way to Miami. This year, they're set to go much further afield.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will reportedly be filming an episode in London in late 2004, according to The Sun TV magazine (via the William Petersen Appreciation Page). The exact date of shooting is currently uncertain, but based on The Sun's and the William Petersen Appreciation Page's sources, the filming could take place either in September or November.

Show star and co-executive producer William Petersen (Gil Grissom) will be present in London for the shooting. At least one other cast member will reportedly be joining him, but they have yet to be named.

The Sun reported the London episode would screen on British network Five in January 2005. Based on this schedule, the instalment will likely air in the United States sometime during November sweeps. However, CSI's shooting schedule has been disrupted by the firings of Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) and George Eads (Nick Stokes) and therefore these dates are very tentative.

Please note that this information has not yet been officially confirmed by CBS or Bruckheimer Films. The original news can be found at the William Petersen Appreciation Page.

 again i repeat just cause i love to "Moonves was wrong" "it won't cause a problem for the show" :D HELLO Wake up call..

Is this a subtle hint at a Fourth CSI Franchise spinoff? Will this serve as a pilot for a CSI: London?

They usually say, if it is a pilot for another spinoff. They probably just wanted to do something. Remember Peterson hates spinoffs. Remember they used CSI:Miami to spin off CSI:New York. They would probably wait another year or two for another spin off.

Yahoo.. :D

Sorry I had heard this and read it myself in the UK newspaper 'The Sun' but hasn't been confirmed around the beginning of June.

Many websites keep speculating... If you look on the news on www.tvtome.com/CSI around the beginning of June, a few more details given...

Plus its supposedly not just Grissom, It's rumoured to be Warrick aswell...

Am keeping my ears and eyes open to confirm this... But I don't think it'll be a spinoff just a one off episode...

We have many many police/crime dramas here... and in my opinion, I don't think a spinoff here would be as good as the US versions....

Maybe Gil is on a pilgrimage to Baker Street so he can commune with the spirit of the first CSI, Sherlock Holmes.
It would be like a trip to Lourdes, to refresh and cleanse the soul.
;)

Maybe he wants to visit the exact spot where Holmes died to set up a shrine and he's gonna pray at it every day

F.Y.I Sherlock Holmes was not a CSI he was a detective not a forensic criminologist

Thank God this is not another backdoor pilot ,it would be intresting to watch how grissom works with other jurisdictions he should take Catherine he's loyal friend.

They should call this one "Pilgramage" or "London Calling" like the Clash song
