Hello ladies. You know how on Sunday I was all excited cause I hadn't lost power...yeah...that didn't last long.
We got power back today! And the day before my birthday no less.
I haven't yet watched last night's episode but I plan on doing that tomorrow. Just wanted you all to know I didn't die. I'm alive and happy to be back.

Good to see you are still on top of dirt, as my hubby says :lol:
A few people have been bragging about Chrome lately, so I've made a temporary switch to check it out. I've been a FF user this past year or two, so any hints about Chrome are appreciated. I've obviously got to track down some extensions and themes to keep me happy, but it does seem to be loading really fast. Now will be the test to see how PB works on Chrome.

I actually use both Chrome and Firefox and I don't find really any difference between the two of them. Now I do use windows 7 as my operating system and that might be the difference. I did notice that when I was still using XP that Chrome was better.

I'm not done though, and haven't uploaded any yet.
I have Win7 on both computers, no more Vista! My FF has been pretty slow lately, and Chrome seems faster, but maybe that is because I had so many extensions downloaded, maybe it's time to clean some out
Photobucket gives me fits on FF though, it loads excruciatingly slow and most times I have to use the back button twice just to load my album after I've clicked on an individual pic. Chrome hasn't done that yet so far, so yay!
Does Chrome always show the complete URL in the dialog box when we're entering links for our pics here? That's kind of obnoxious though, especially when changing pics.

Chrome is great for Photobucket. I couldn't believe how fast it goes between pages.
I've stopped useing FF altogether. It wasn't working right and nothing I did would fix it.

So, we never lost power. We lost cable! Finally got through to a human being this morning - I won't comment on her! :scream: Talked to a different person this afternoon and told them that we're the only ones on this street without cable - wha-lah - an hour later we get cable and internet. :hugegrin: Of course we still got a huge, dead pine tree leaning on the telephone and cable wires. As of dinner time there were still around 3,000 people in Massachusetts without power.
For you all to see what we've been through:
somewhere under there is the street out front our house on Sunday morning
this is going the other direction on Sunday morning
large branches from one side to the other
Thursday morning is when the street got cleared
Nothing is worse than listening to commercials for your favorite television shows on the radio when you can't watch them. I have managed to watch season 11 in it's entirety in one week! :lol:
