I think that the aging cutie owes Quentin Tarantino-big time. If it weren't for the brilliant direction, George Eads would of joined the infamous Titanic ship. Giving him any commentary would create an even bigger head(ego), but may prove to be worth having since like mentioned above he was the main character for the finale. I feel for the first time that Eads gave an excellent performance and deserves some kudos, but should not rest assured. He should try to remain on-point from here on out. Because of this performance I see great potential ahead hopefully it will transcend into next season. Hurray for Tarantino!
OK, so you don't like George. But, "big ego"? Really? Based on what? His enthusiasm for the episode? If anything, he comes off as a kid who can't wait to be playing.
Then again, I haven't met the guy personally, and, for all I know, you may have. To quote Grissom: "state your source."
GE seems humble to me in all the interviews that I've seen so far. And I agree with the previous poster: Grave Dangers was not the first episode he showed his acting abilities in. However, that's subjective and you are very well entitled to think otherwise.

P.S. "Aging cutie"? At 38? Grissom must seem truly ancient to you, then. And Doc Robbins is primed for the grave. LOL
