No it isn't! :) Notice that some folks have the link placed in their banner/signature credits. It's also been mentioned to me that some have also placed links on their LJs as well. Brilliant!

Thanks much, everyone. :)

Also I send the link to all my friend in my ICQ list. Yep the cause is more then greta and do deserve more and more support.

Thanks of my dictionary and wikipedia.org I win more 510 grains. ;)

I posted the link on my website/messageboard, my livejournal and msn'd it to people on my list. Addictive and for a good cause, it's awesome! :D Thanks Tally! :)

I saw this on MySpace a couple days ago. Since than, I've donated about 2000 grains.

I love just doing simple things that are fun. Especially for a good cause :D

Hey Tally, thanks for introducing me to this. I now have it on facebook + I've invited all of my friends. I'm on 4000 for now, but I intend to go much, much higher! :)

Thanks for the link! I've saved it in my favorite links and am e-mailing it to my friends!

Can I post another link for a web fundraising game or should I start another thread?

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this yet or not, but FreeRice.com now donates 20 grains of rice per correct answer instead of 10.

From the FAQ page:

When did FreeRice increase the amount donated for each correct answer from 10 grains of rice?

For its first seven weeks, FreeRice gave 10 grains of rice for each correct answer. On November 28, 2007, we were able to increase this to 20 grains. We hope to be able to increase this again in the future. Here is how we look at it: Your part is to play and donate the rice. Our part is to increase the amount you can donate!

We are also working to increase the number of vocabulary words and levels so that you will not run out of words to learn anytime soon…

Yeah I noticed. Not at first, though . I was answering away, looked at my total and was like, 'Hey! I'm smart'.

Then I figured it out :(

:D Nevermind, it's a great thing!

It still amazes me that the humble rice grain is the primary life sustaining staple for half this planet's population. Thanks for the interesting info. :)

Thumpers, thanks for the heads up on the move from 10 grains to 20 grains. Upping the amount is brilliant! I haven't been to the website in a while due to real life craziness but hope to make up for it very shortly.

Play up, everyone!

My english teacher gave us that link. He feeds the world when he's supposed to be marking our tests. And when he's supposed to be teaching. We're planning Rice Game Day in English.
