CSI Files
Captain
This fall Canadian actor Brendan Fehr reprises his role on CSI:Miami as computer hacker Dan Cooper.
Fehr, who describes his character as an outgoing, over-talkative, self-proclaimed geek, was originally cast for only one episode at the start of the show’s fourth season. It has since become a recurring role.
“He’s the guy that they go to when they need computer debugging, or a phone tapped or stuff like that,” Fehr said of his character. Fehr confessed he has to be debriefed about the scientific terms for what his character does on the show.
Fehr, 28, is best known for his alien role as Michael Guerin during three seasons of the cancelled drama Roswell.
Roswell took Fehr to Los Angeles, where he currently lives and works on CSI:Miami.
Fehr says he doesn’t know what this season will hold for viewers because he doesn’t even bother to read the show’s scripts all the way through. “It’s not a matter of laziness, but I actually want to watch the show and be surprised,” he said.
“Everyone’s up for a good whodunit,” said Fehr, explaining the show’s tremendous popularity.
