I'm new here and still can't send a PM or I'd ask someone privately. Anyway, I've published a fic elsewhere and wondering if this is the thread where I can post a link? Also, the rating thing has me confused! I think mine is PG-13 but I can't be too sure! Any help would be appreciated!

To be able to send PMs you have to have been a member for 2 weeks and have a total of 50 posts :)

I had a quick scroll up and im sure you can post the link to your fic here but you may like to use the following while posting:

If you are unsure on the rating, try this...

If you feel the need, you can also post the genre and main character(s) for further clarification. If the rating is not provided, give an educated guess. For those who are not exactly sure how the rating system works, here's a brief outline:

G (K) - Intended for general audience 5 years and older. Content should be free of any coarse language, violence, and adult themes.
PG (K+) - Suitable for more mature childen, 9 years and older, with minor action violence without serious injury. May contain mild coarse language. Should not contain any adult themes.
PG-13 (T) - Suitable for teens, 13 years and older, with some violence, minor coarse language, and minor suggestive adult themes.
R (M) - Not suitable for children or teens below the age of 16 with possible strong but non-explicit adult themes, references to violence, and strong coarse language.
NC-17 (MA) - Content is only suitable for mature adults. May contain explicit language and adult themes.

That's what has me confused. I don't think my fic is M because it's not violent really, I'd let my 12 year old niece read it. It's just that from the description (reference to violence) it seems like I should rate it M. But..well..a CSI fic without a reference to violence? My fic reads like an episode...so is that PG-13? or M?

Having just gone through your story, it's my personal opinion as a fellow writer that I wouldn't consider it to be M. I'd probably rate it somewhere between PG and PG-13 as there is some description of violence but it's nothing obscene and there isn't any wild sex scenes or vulgar language of any sort. :)

Speed_cochrane, thanks for your reply, I also think it's PG-13, but I wanted to err on the side of caution so I rated it M!

If a mod replies I will either lower the rating or take down the link. I'm signing off for the night though but will check back in the morning.

While it's still a work in progress, i'm enjoying it so far, and i'm looking forward to where this one's headed. :) The second chapter should be up tonight or tomorrow.

Could someone please define, without violating the rules, mild versus strong "coarse language"? :)

I'd like to prop my new fic, Se Salva.

Title: Se Salva

Summary: Four robbers return to the scene of a casino heist, resulting in a brutal hostage situation for the three CSIs still processing the casino. Only two CSIs make it out, and the entire team struggles with the aftermath. Catherine and Warrick try to hold what's left of the team together, even when it means putting it before their personal lives. Wendy strives to fill Greg's footsteps and fulfill her own dreams as she finishes her proficiencies, while Nick is devastated by grief -- and heartbreak. Grissom decides that an addition to the team is what everyone needs -- or is it just what he needs? Finally, Catherine recognizes a pair of melancholy eyes on the man who took her, Nick and Greg hostage on that gruesome night, bringing back memories of a tragic love story of years far past.

I've been trying to find this fic that I had favorited until my computer crashed and erased all my favorites. It consists of Sara dressing up (leather pants) and going out for a night on the town. Grissom calls her and needs her to come fill out her time card. She decides to go in as is, much to Grissom's, um, surprise. I think she had been trying to get him to crack before this and this was the last straw, but I could be mixing myself up. I do remember that she gives him an ultimatum before she leaves his office. Without spoiling it for others (anymore than I have) let's just say he doesn't let her down!

SOMEBODY PLEASE HUMOR MY INSANITY AND REMIND ME WHERE THIS WAS/WHAT IT'S CALLED! I can't find it ANYWHERE! ARGH!
