Eva La Rue: 'Miami' Transition Has Been Smooth

CSI Files

Captain
Eva La Rue recently sat down with Inland Empire Magazine about her adventurous move from the east to the west coast and daytime to primetime.

La Rue stared for years on the daytime soap opera All My Children, but last summer quit her job to move to the west. "I was set on leaving, and I was planning to do it with or without a job," she said. "I knew I needed to be home. I just didn't know it was going to end up this great."

La Rue didn't have to struggle much to find another job. Shortly after her move, she was offered the role of Natalia Boa Vista on CSI: Miami. The actress admitted she was apprehensive about jumping right in. "The cast already had a chemistry and the producers wanted to be careful with that. They are in their forth season, so it was a little intimidating to be with people who already know each other."

"But David [Caruso, Horatio Caine] and everyone on the show have been very welcoming... and they didn't have to be."

Her character has now been on nearly every episode this season, but La Rue admitted, she still doesn't know her well. "I don't know much about Natalia yet," she said. "The writers are still sort of marking her out and how she's going to fit in."
