Another reason why I love our Eric/Greg threads here?

Our icons....one Greg/Eric icon after the other. Always puts a smile on my face!

Yes, seeing all the Greg/Eric love in one place is nice.

I know I will be writing this summer to let them know for next season we want some more Greg and want at least one real storyline for him again...only one episode is all I ask...is that so hard a request?!

I think one Greg-centric episode is definitely not too much to ask for!! We've had some amazing Greg episodes in the past, it feels like a loss not to have had one for three seasons!!

I really don't know why tptb have diminished his character so much. I mean, we had Chasing the Bus, and Play with Fire, and Viva Las Vegas, and Who Shot Sherlock and Roshomama, and Kiss Kiss Bye, Fannysmackin' and Post Mortem....
(and yes, I know some of those were Greg-centric, but they were central to Greg's overall story!)

It's not too much to ask for another amazing Greg episode. Eric, and Greg and we, his fans...deserve it!!!

Am I right?!

Well I think if each one of us at least writes a letter at the end of this season to the producers, maybe (wishful thinking) they will actually listen and give us a Greg ep next season.

I will certainly write, after the season ends. You will never know if it will work unless you give it a shot, right?

Our favorite guy is so worth the effort!:)

I got back to making caps last night...A La Cart:drool:...finally!

I'm certainly going to write a letter, and I was just thinking I might write to more than one person. Just trying to figure out who the best people to write to would be!

It's time our Greg got an episode of his own. I don't believe the whole 'well he's not a lead blah blah blah'. If that were the case then we wouldn't have HAD all those other awesome Greg episodes, so that blows that theory out of the water!

I always thought the show was an ensemble, with the occasional focus on one character (i.e Turn, Turn, Turn and Gum Drops for Nick, Hollywood Brass and Way to Go for Jim, etc etc etc). So hey, it's time for Greg to get some focus on him!

Let's do it, we Greg fans have waited too long right? Forget the screen time there is no even a total Greg-centric story in the last a few seasons. Just some little Greg-centric scenes. Actually i was hopeful this season after seeing Family Affairs. Greg was angry when he was taken from the actual case for the other. Yeah we wanted him to have a solo case and yeah we wanted him to be angry alittle and look how the writers gave it !?! :p

At the beginning of this season I had high hopes of seeing some really great Greg scenes after we heard the spoilers about him being mad about still being treated poorly. We basically saw that in the opening episode and then one little snarky look in another and that was the extent of it. They really hardly touched on it. I still believe had Jorja not come back full time again, Greg's character would have had more but then they had to write for her again and they love her more than Greg, it seems.

Dizzney, I found that disappointing too. Greg had his angry moment but they never followed through and all of a sudden it was happy families again. I love Greg angry though, I loved him in Big Shots where he finally confronted Mrs. James (in fact, my icon is from that scene).

We all know Eric is capable of giving Greg so much depth and intensity...they should showcase that and use it!

I know I'm preaching to the choir here...but I'm so glad I'm not the only one disappointed with the lack of Greg-time lately.

Hugs all around!!

E.

Well, we're getting a new co-show runner since Naren or whatever his name is decided to leave. We're getting one of Numbers' show-runners. His last name is McGill. I think his first name is Bruce, but I'm not certain. Perhaps he would be a good one to write to?

I hope I'm not intruding here. :) But I just have to ask one question. Has anyone thought of asking ERIC why he isn't getting a lot of screen time? Maybe it's personal choice or other commitments. I know George missed a lot with his bad back and with movie filming. And I've heard that Marg asked to be cut back some last season for personal reasons. And of course Jorja only signed on for intermittent episodes.

I'm just sayin'. :) I know he's involved in a lot of other projects and interests, and maybe that's why he's not around as much. I really don't think the writers would leave him out of some scenes on purpose unless he couldn't be there for filming, because yeah...sometimes it seems odd that they're all in the layout room and he's not or whatever.

Anyway, that's just the thought that I had as for why he's not on as much these days. I know it's really frustrating when you just get a few moments or episodes with your favorite character (just ask DJ! ) I think it's worth a try to see if someone can find out what the reason is. :)

I'm like 95% sure its not Eric's choice. He's always saying in interviews what he'd like to see for his character and the things he says doesn't sound like he's been asking for less screentime. This has been happening to him ever since he was made a CSI more or less. All of the other projects Eric is involved in are usually done during breaks (like Christmas break or whatever) or during the summer or are small things that can be done on his days off. There's really nothing huge that he seems to be involved in that would take his time away from CSI... not that I can tell anyway.

That's a valid question Smokey, but honestly I think from things Eric has said in interviews, he'd love to see more for his character too. He has said he put a lot of himself into the character, brought his humour and interests to him and he himself would love a good story for Greg.

I think that writing to the producers/writers can do no harm. At the very least they will see that Eric/Greg has fans who care enough to write in! Even if Eric asked for less screen time, I think he'd be pleased that his fans want to see more of the character he has put so much time, effort and talent into.

Like GNRF said, his projects don't seem to be huge time-eating projects and he seems to spend his breaks concentrating on them.
